JESUS'S RESCUE MISSION ON EARTH....

JESUS’S RESCUE MISSION ON EARTH..

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (KJV)

Psalms 14:7 “Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”

Philippians 2:12 “ Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”

A family was out vacationing at the lake one summer. Dad had been puttering out by the boat house.

Two of his sons, a 12-year old and a 3-year old were down playing along the dock. The 12 year old was supposed to be watching his little brother, but he got distracted.

The 3 year old, little Billy, thought that would be a good time to check out the shiny aluminum fishing boat tied up at the end of the dock.

So he went to the dock and put one foot on the boat, and one foot on the dock. He lost his balance and fell into the water, which was about 5 or 6 ft deep.

The splash alerted the 12-yr old who let out a piercing scream. Dad came running from the boat house, jumped into the water, swam down, but unable to see anything, came up for air.

Sick with panic, he went right back down into this murky water, and began to feel everywhere around the bottom. He couldn't feel anything.

Finally, on his way up, he felt little Billy's arms locked in a death grip on one of the posts of the dock, about 4 ft under water.

Prying the boy's fingers loose, they burst up together thru the surface to fill their lungs with life giving air.

Finally when the adrenaline had stopped surging, and nerves had calmed down a little bit, the Father asked his son, "What on earth were you doing down there hanging onto the post so far under the water?"

And little Billy's answer was a classic, laced with the wisdom only a toddler could give. He said, "I was just waiting for you dad. Just waiting for you."

My friend, 2000 yrs ago, the God of the universe left the glory and the splendor of heaven, a place where there was no pain and no sickness, no accidents, no hurt, and no death.

And he plunged into this dark, murky world on a rescue mission, a rescue mission for...

...All of us who are drowning.

...All of us who are barely hanging on.

...All of us who are lost in the darkness.

Don't let the busyness of this world overwhelm you that you've forgotten how much God loves you.
This is one way to remind yourself daily that He gave His Son to rescue you.

So get in a habit of studying and meditating scriptures and never again forget God's most critical rescue mission.

Always remember God's rescue mission for you.

O Lord, empower me to escape, and not to neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto me by them that heard him in Jesus name;

I KNOW THE DWELLING PLACES OF WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING

I KNOW THE DWELLING PLACES OFWISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING.

Job 28: 12 -15 “But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?”Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me. It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

Job 28:20-23 “Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.”

Job 28:28 “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”

A certain man after appraising his life concluded that since there seem to be no helper to assist him to accomplish his set goals in life, he would seek wisdom.

He set machinery in motion to seek / locate the dwelling places of wisdom and understanding. As he fasted, studied the scriptures, meditated on scriptures, a day came, he stumbled on some verses of the scriptures in the book of Job 28.

The reality of the situation, condition struck him that he has been going about it the wrong way. He had visited place with beggarly powers seeking to get wisdom. While on his search, for wisdom, he lost money possession, family, job, business, etc. Yet he persisted.

After receiving the revelation imbedded in the scriptures, he then realized that there is a place wisdom can be found and understanding also has a dwelling place.

He further discovered that the FEAR OF GOD and OBEYING HIS COMMANMENTS are the short cut to get to the dwelling places of wisdom and understanding.

He finally discovered that to get wisdom and understanding, you must fear God and obey His commandments; He will then take you by hand and lead you to the dwelling places of wisdom and understanding.

God grant me wisdom and understanding that will make my enemies not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which I will speak in Jesus name.

O Lord give me a mouth and wisdom, which all my adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist in Jesus name..

WHEN MEN CAST OFF RESTRAINT (BOUNDARIES)

WHEN MAN CASTS OFF RESTRAINT (BOUNDARIES)

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.”

James 1:25 “But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

A deacon son, who was deeply engrossed in meditation during a church service, and he failed to kneel at the appropriate moment.

His enemies quickly ran to the pastor and demanded that the deacon’s son be punished for his blasphemy.

He defended himself by saying...

"If those who accuse me had had their eyes and minds on God, as I had, they too would have failed to notice events around them, and they most certainly would not have noticed what I was doing."

.

How about you?

Are your eyes and mind on God?

You see, we're in the age of distraction. Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

There are more things now that gets our attention and it's harder to stay focused.

With technology, we now have email, Internet, chat, mobile phones, facebook, sports, etc.

All these compete for your attention and eats up some of your time.

The time that you should be spending on activities that will help you grow spiritually.

Studying, memorizing scriptures can take only 5 to 10 minutes of your time.

But what you'll gain spiritually is immeasurable.

Preserving and aligning your mind with God's Word and His promises is the fastest way to be closer to God.

God is ALWAYS looking forward to talk to you with all your attention is on Him.

So don't let the busyness of this world control your life.

Instead, let your life be controlled by the scriptures you've studied meditated upon and memorized.

GOD KIND OF LOVE

GOD’S KIND OF LOVE

John 13:34 …“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another”.

1 Peter 3:7 “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

A certain woman had been diagnosed with breast cancer so severe that the doctors had no choice but to cut off the breast to avoid affecting the other breast. And like most any woman who awakes from this troubling surgery, this deflated her self-esteem the damage to her status was deep. Not only was she dealing with the loss of her breast, but she could see in the mirror how her hair was entangled and her face swollen from reaction to the heavy dose of drugs administered to her

. One day during her stay in the hospital, when her husband entered the room, she burst into tears. "Look at what I look like!" she moaned through her sobs.

Immediately, he left the room and returned soon thereafter with a cart of shampoo, creams, and lotions and makeup kits. He, carried her to the sink, and set her down on his lap, picked her up in his arms. Then leaning her head back over the basin, he washed her hair. He combed it out. He blew it dry. Then with unsteady hand, he applied her makeup the best he could—blush, lipstick, mascara.

She looked at herself in the same mirror that had earlier sent her into convulsions of vanity, and saw someone she recognized: herself. She was back again. All because her man had loved her well through those crucial moments when her world had been crumbling around her.

Today, even though this woman's experience with breast cancer qualifies as perhaps the lowest (wit end) point in her life, one of her favorite moments from all of her marriage has become those few precious moments in her hospital room—when her husband loved her in a way any woman would have understood. Her husband’s love spoke volumes to her and gave her a sense of belonging.

O God, you always keep me sensitive to the exact language of love my mate needs from me—at any individual moment in Jesus name.

WITH THE ANCIENT WISDOM

WITH THE ANCIENT IS WISDOM...
… Job 28:12 “But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?”

A philosophy professor stood before his class with some item on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about two inches in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured into the jar. Off course, the sand filled up everything else. He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “Yes.”

“Now,” said the professor, “I want to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things – your family, your partner, your health, your children – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter – your job, your house, your car.

The sand is everything else. The small stuff.’

“If you put the sand into the jar first.” He continued “there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children; take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, dive a dinner party and fix the disposal.

Take care of the rocks firs – the things that really matter. Set your priorities.

The rest is just sand.”
My God give me a mouth and wisdom, which all my adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist in Jesus name.

AN UNFAITHFUL SERVANT

AN UNFAITHFUL SERVANT

Luke 13:6 “He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”

Mathew 25:30 “And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire,. He told his employer – contractor of his plans to leave the house building and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get.

The contractor was sorry to see his worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in that time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “ my gift to you.”

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built not too well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important point we do not give the job our best effort.

Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would done it differently. Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build.

Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, “Life is do-it-yourself project.” Who could say it more clearly? Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

O Lord, let your confidence in me not be like that of an unfaithful man in time of trouble, that is is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint in Jesus name.

O Lord, I pray for your abundant grace so that at the end O Lord, it will said of me “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” in Jesus name..

O Lord let me not be a wicked and slothful servant to you my creator in Jesus name,

UNGRATEFULNESS- A SPIRITUAL POISON

UNGRATEFULNESS … A SPIRITUAL POISON

Luke 12: 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? N

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.

There was this day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed.

How could she do this me? I ignored her, threw her hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmate said, ‘EEEE, your mom only has one eye!’

I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said,’ If you’re only going to make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die?’

My mom did not respond… I didn’t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was oblivious to her feelings.

I wanted to go out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.

Then I got married. I brought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts. Then one day, my Mother came to visit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, ‘How dare you come to my house and scare my children!’ GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!

And to this, my mother quietly answered, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,’ and she disappear out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip after the reunion. I went to the old cabin just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

‘My dearest son,

I think of you all the time. I’m sorry I came to your house and scared your children. I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion, but I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see…. When you were very little, you were involved in an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye, so I gave you mine.

I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole world for me, in my place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,

Your mother.

My God, I know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is my life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Let my life appear for a little time and vanish away until I fulfil my destiny in Jesus name

O Lord, although for all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away, let me not wither and become history while I am alive in Jesus name.

OBEDIENCE - 2ND UNBEATABLE SPIRITUAL CAPSULE

OBEDIENCE – 2ND UNBEATABLE SPIRITUAL CAPSULE

……Luke 5:4 “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.”

Harry Houdini, the famed escape artist issued a challenge wherever he went.

He could be locked in any jail cell in the country, he claimed, and set himself free quickly and easily.

Always he kept his promise, but one time something went wrong.

Houdini entered the jail in his street clothes; the heavy, metal doors clanged shut behind him.

He took from his belt a concealed piece of metal, strong and flexible.

He set to work immediately, but something seemed to be unusual about this lock.

For 30 minutes he worked and got nowhere.

An hour passed, and still he had not opened the door.

By now he was bathed in sweat and panting in exasperation, but he still could not pick the lock.

Finally, after laboring for 2 hours, Harry Houdini collapsed in frustration and failure against the door he could not unlock.

But when he fell against the door, it swung open! It had never been locked at all!

But in his mind it was locked and that was all it took to keep him from opening the door and walking out of the jail cell.

That's how powerful your God-given mind is.

So if you think you're too old to something new, beginning anew etc...then you're right.

If you think you are too late to start something new...then again you're right.

And if you think you're too busy to learn something new ...you're right too.

Simply stated, you'll believe what you want to believe is true.

I'm sorry but all these are just lies that the enemy are whispering to your ears.

Because the enemy would rather have you meditate on fears, doubts, and impurity than the true and living power of the Word of God.

But I trust you that you'll make a right decision and start your journey to a healthier relationship with God through your obedience to God’s instructions….and let down you net for a draught.

O God I have decided today, to make a bold step that will usher into my next spiritual life level in Jesus name.

HOW TO TOUCH GOD

HOW TO TOUCH GOD
I Corinthians 16:9 … “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

A certain sailor was in trouble on the high seas and there was no way of escape. It could soon become a high sea of tragedy. Everyone on board seemed to think he was a carrier of bad luck. And the thought had quite thickened that he should be cast into the raging, venomous ocean, just like Jonah. Fearful, desperate and with no time on his side, he remember:

Luke 11;13. “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

Quickly, he opened his mouth and said, God, if you’re true You’ll make good Your word. Cleanse Thou my vile heart’ He confessed his sins and prayed for forgiveness.

God heard his prayer and saved him. Just as John Newton was saved from his wrathful seamen and he was also saved from sin.

When would call on God to cleanse you from every unrighteousness and save you from destruction.

I pray that every opportunity to become extraordinary in all areas of life will locate you now and every where you’ve been denied access, I enter

CONSEQUENCE OF WRONG CHOICE

CONSEQUENCE OF WRONG CHOICE.....

Gen. 24:27 “And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master's brethren.”

(KJV)

Any choice you make without divine guidance will surely leave you with regrets, sorrow and lots of losses.

If you base your decision to marry that man or woman purely on physical beauty, material possessions, status or academic achievements, you may spend the rest of your life in regrets.

My God, light my candle, and enlighten my darkness; grant me discerning power to recognize what is not meant for me in Jesus name.

THE PARADOX OF OUR TIME

THE PARADOX OF OUR TIME…

Gen. 1: 26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but les service time, more degrees but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, yet more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV much too much, and pray to seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much. Love too seldom and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life, not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We’ve conquered outer space, but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve split the atom, but our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. W e’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold information. To produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; big men , and small character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; finance houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when technology can bring this letter t o you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight or to just it delete.

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember to say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember to hold and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time to share the precious thought in your mind.

And always remember: Life is not measured by the numbers of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

O Lord, remove the veil over my eyes and let me see the miracles in each challenge that comes my way in Jesus name.

TE LESSON OF LIFE

THE LESSON OF LIFE. Romans 8:22 “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now”.

2Peter 3:4 “And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation”.

Some fishermen decided to export cod fish; they congealed the fish and kept them refrigerated till they got to their destination. To their disappointment, the fish had lost its savour by the time it got there.

The next time, they conserved it in sea – water, thinking that the salt content of the water would preserve it but on arrival, the fish had gone soft and had lost its savour and was uninviting.

The put heads together to find how they can export this highly – nutritious fish. An old fisherman came to them and advised that they should put the fish’s worst enemy in the tank with it.

It’s worst enemy in the cat - fish. The young fishermen found the old man funny. They laughed and wondered how his suggestion would work. However, they decided to give it try.

They got a bid tank, put the fish in it and put a cat – fish along in the water. To their utter amazement, the fish got to their destination safely and alive. They retained their savour and the men were happy.

Why did the fish got there safely? It was because it’s enemy, the cat – fish, was in the tank with them, chasing them all over the place. They were restless and alert, so they were alive to escape from adversity. That was how they arrived safely and retained their savour.

Many people would not bother to go Church, if not for the enemy. Many would not have bothered about churches, if not for life challenges, many would not go to church meetings, if not for the storms confronting them.

“But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children”.

The storm of life will not capsize our life boat in Jesus name.

SPIRITUAL PARENTING

SPIRITUAL PARENTING …Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Psalms 127: 3-5 “As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate”.

Parents have decided to abdicate their responsibility of training their children to strangers such as television, internet, teachers, friends etc.

Parents should not wait for the school to do it for you. It is not really their focus. Do not dump your children on the Church. They have greater burdens to bear. Do not leave the job to the maid. She is not qualified for it. Do not leave the assignment to friends. They have their own children to bring up. Do not expect any that your relations will do it for you.

They have other things to bother about. Do not evade it. Face it now and you will smile later. God gives the assurance: Proverbs 23:24-25 “The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

May you as parent reap the reward of your labour and in Jesus name. You shall not bury your children in Jesus name.
(from my book,-spiritual parenting)

WHEN MAN’S REASONING IS CONTRARY

WHEN MAN’S REASONING IS CONTRARY …John 11:21-2 3 “But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again”.

A young boy went into the stadium one day. He had no knowledge of swimming. He did not follow the due process either. He went to the junior swimming pool and got himself wet. Then he stole into the adult swimming pool and took a hurl ; “Here I come”. He thought he was smart for gaining access without paying.

As he sank into the water, he tried to stand on his feet like le would in the junior pool but soon realized he had landed in the deepest part. He began to gulp water as he dipped in and out of the water. He could not cry out for help the way he should.

He was confused. He was drowning. But as God would have it, one of his cousins who was there came to his rescue. Today, he is senior Pastor. But for God’s mercy, that could have been his end.

God never comes late, in Lazarus’s case, Mary and Matha thought that the arrival time of Jesus Christ to see His friend Lazarus, has removed any chance of his being alive.

Many thought that God has forgotten the man at the pool of Bethesda, having five porches. They thought that help for him is a foregone issue; because for 38 years, he has been in the inglorious position, how can God reach out to him?.

God is not a man, He change not, only men change. And until we change our change will not come.

Whatever man thinks in impossible in your life, whatever man thinks can never be redeemed, recovered, or be restored will be done in your life , by the Lord who never fails or comes late concerning any issue.

The Lord will make your case a miracle in Jesus name.

GIVE ALL DILIGENCE

GIVE ALL DILIGENCE…Proverbs 22 :29 “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”.

Proverbs 10: 4 “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich”.

Wealthy man decided to give away $5m to anyone who could locate the position where he hid the money in a 5 story building. This was widely advertised for people to participate and better their lives in that kingdom.

Many people got to the building and only stopped their search in the first floor; some stopped after searching two floors, some third, some fourth etc and complained that the wealthy is deceiving them and that there is nothing anywhere at all.

In that kingdom, there was a man who has always being known to be diligent in all that he does. He has also taught his two sons to diligent in all that they will ever do in their life journey.

One of the sons was doing his school in another kingdom, while the second son was with the parent also schooling. So when this issue came up the son joined in the search of the money to better is family’s lot.

He searched from the first floor everything; including the waste bins in all the floors for the $5m. Everybody left him still searching for this life changing money up to the fifth floor; until he found it inside a very bid and dirty waste bin in front of the last room on the fifth floor wrapped in very dirty wet rag hidden under the bin.

He took the money and left for home without announcing to anybody. When he got home, the father asked to be given the money without being told by the son that he found it.

The incident happened in the presence of some parents whose children also participated in the search of the money but gave up after the first and second floor.

Some of these parents were surprised to see their friend’s reaction on seeing his son, while some were not. Those who were not surprised confessed that they know that their friend’s son will locate the money because of his father’s diligent attitude which he has transferred to his children will always bring them honour and fame.

Immediately he finished his speech, the son gave the $5m he found due to diligence.

Nothing of value is found easy. In the supermarket of life, men must seek with diligence before they anything good, treasure are not found in earth surface.

I pray that as you reconfigure your heart to apply diligence in all that you do, God will grant you on a daily basis what eludes your mates in Jesus name.

LEAVE IT THERE.

LEAVE IT THERE. ---Psalms 27:4 "One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple".

In one town in Ghana there is a beautiful little chapel, and a very touching story is told in connection with it. It was built by an unbeliever who had a praying wife, but he would not listen to her.

He would not allow her Pastor even to take dinner with them; would not look at the Bible; would not allow religion even to be talked of. The wife made up her mind, seeing she could not influence him by her voice that every day she would pray to God at twelve noon for his salvation.

She said nothing to him, but every day at that hour she told the Lord about her husband. At the end of twelve months there was no change in him.

But she did not give up. Six months more went past. Her faith began to waver, and she said, “Will I have to give him up? No. Perhaps when I am dead God will answer my prayer.” When she had got to that point, it seemed just as if God had got her where He wanted her.

The man came home for lunch one day. His wife was in the dining room waiting for him, but he didn’t come in. She waited for him some time, and finally looked for him all through the little room where she had prayed so often. There her husband was, praying at the same bed with agony, where she had prayed for many months, asking forgiveness for his sins. This is what God can do in any situation or circumstances of our lives if we leave it there.

If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain, and your soul is almost sinking in despair, leave it there for God.

WHEN GOD’S INSTRUCTION IS IGNORED.

WHEN GOD’S INSTRUCTION IS IGNORED. ...1Samuel 15:9 "But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly".

Many ages ago, I saw a certain beautiful lady that I used to know in a terrible tribulation. T he origin of her trouble started many years ago When it was time for her to marry, she went to the man of God and asked him to pray for her to find a husband, or better still to pray that God would show him whom she should marry.

So, the man of God went to the mountain like they used to do in those days and prayed to seek the face of the Lord concerning the matter.

When he came back from the mountain, he sent for the lady and said to her: “When I prayed, I say that the Brother Tunde in our church is the husband that you will marry. I suggest that you follow God’s instructions and marry him.

In the first place, the man was shorter than her and had a scar on one side of his face. He said, “That is you husband.’ The girl said, “Pastor, I don’t think I can marry brother Tunde with all my beauty. No sir.” So, she politely turned it down, and married a man who already was the idol in her heart.

That fellow she married died young. The second, third and fourth husband that she married also died. Sometimes, what you want is not what you need. You have to be careful.

GOD'S OWN WAY...

GOD’S OWN WAY..

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

LIFE IS IN STAGES

LIFE IS IN STAGES...

Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? (KJV)

When I was in high-school, an old man asked me this question..."How do you eat an elephant?"

Young and innocent, so I thought it was a joke or something. I responded with sarcasm and said "Well, I don't eat elephant."

The man smiled and responded..."One bite at a time."

You see, when you're trying to accomplish big things in life like paying off your debt, lose 20 pounds, start a ministry, or whatever you have to realize that for it to happen, you need to start with just one small step.

A lot of people are overwhelmed and paralyzed just by the thought of their BIG goal.

Do you want to grow in faith? Start with just 10 minutes of prayer every morning and you'll be amazed how this simple act can develop your intimate relationship with God.

It's the same thing in studying the scriptures, meditating God’s word, memorizing God's Word.

Start with just one verse at a time.

You'll be surprised how this simple act will help you improve your memory and soon you'll find it much easier to memorize longer scriptures.

Take this important first step.

2Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

O Lord, satisfy me early with thy mercy; that I may rejoice and be glad all my days in Jesus name.

THE DEVIL’S STRATEGY

THE DEVIL’S STRATEGY

1Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

A long time ago, there was a poultry farmer who was said to have gone to the mountain and there, he found the egg of an eagle.

Eagle’s eggs take longer time to hatch than those of a chicken. The man took the egg of the eagle and put it together with the chicken’s to hatch. After sometime, they hatched and the eaglet moved about with the chicks’ ways of life.

The chicks were always looking up but the eaglet was always looking at the ground. It picked stones and worms in the soil. Sometimes, it took shelter under the mother hen. It was raised up like the chicks but it did not look like them.

The farmer was observing the eaglet. One day, something happened. A mother eagle flying above saw the eaglet behaving like the chicks. The mother eaglet made a loud cry, which made the eaglet to look up for the first time. For the first time, it heard a sound similar to its own. The mother eagle made a second cry, and with that captured the eaglet’s attention. It dawned on the eaglet that it did not belong where it was but up there. Then it started to try to fly.

The mother eagle made the cry, which sent something into the blood of the eaglet and it flew high into the sky and the farmer could not see it again. What we are saying is that you either fly like an eagle or you become a chick.

To become a chick is a disaster because the hawk is there. The natural man is like that eaglet, which was found where it did not belong, stolen away by the devil. ‘

Sin, sickness and death destroys the life of the natural man.

Like it or not, if you are one of God's elect, you are one of Satan's targets in this war... his efforts are directed against you to destroy you.

Know who are and what God created you to be…. Ensue that you manifest His glory in Jesus name.

Proverbs 11:19 FOLLOW GOD AND PROSPER

Proverbs 11:19 FOLLOW GOD AND PROSPER

As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

Sin is like a small boy who found what e thought was puppy in the forest and took it home. He hid it in the upper floor. He did not know what he found was a baby lion.

One day, the boy want to feed it as usual and he never came back; He had been eaten by what he captured.

You can choose sins, but cannot choose the consequences of the sin.

The price of sin remains the same, it never change.

Do not activate what will eventually destroy you.

Do not discover truth too late.

GOD MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE IN HIS OWN LIKENESS, AFTER HIS IMAGE.

GOD MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE IN HIS OWN LIKENESS AFTER HIS IMAGE.

Genesis 1; 27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them”.

As Mr. Sunny entered his office complex, a chorus of “congratulation sir!” filled the air. Everybody knew what this meant to him, and they were happy for him.

It was obvious he was happy, and rightly so, because his wife just gave birth to a baby boy.

His marriage to Mary had produced three children all of whom are girls. He had endured such a long wait for her to give him a baby boy. Thank God the wait is over. It has not been easy, though. What with all the pressure e had to contend with amongst his friends and especially his relations – a development that has caused a lot of strain in their marriage of twelve (12) years.

When the first issue came and turned out to be a girl, Sunny’s family had threatened fire and brimstone that Mary having a female child as the first issue was an affront to their wealth and noble family. Their family, they claimed, are known for having male children.

If any of them has a female child at all, it is normally one, and almost always as the last child. Mary, anxious to please her in-laws and keep her home, began to run from pillar to post. People came forward to proffer solutions to her ‘problem’.

After she tried all kinds of suggestions to aid her having a boy but still ended with a second girl, she threw away all concoction and decided to focus on God. The third issue came, yet a girl, but she was not perturbed. She reasoned that God must have a purpose for giving her these girls.

Although she wished she had a boy to please her husband, she was no longer unduly agitated. The home became turbulent, with Kenny having bouts of temper, but her new found faith and confidence in God kept her on.

Now, the Lord has looked down on her and given her child to please her husband….

Mathew 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female.

Each i.e man and woman are created by God for specific and unique purposes.

O Lord, let the purpose for my creation as a man manifest while I am alive in Jesus name.

BE TRANFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND

BE TRANFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

She was very disdainful and foul in her language. Those in the neighborhood knew and ran from her. As she cursed, she gossiped. None was spared from her tongue- neighbors’, colleagues, even ordinary folks. Her family knew no peace whenever she was around Rom 3:18.

In fact, she was a shrew, a human viper.

Mrs Fashe always had one thing or the other to complain about as soon as her husband comes through the door. If not the children who would “kill” ‘her one of these days’ with their noise making. It could be over work.

The husband would rather stay late at work so as to avoid the daily nagging. She soon discovered she could not save her marriage by her many words. Neither could she maintain her dignity through much talking. But for God who send a Christian her way, she would have taken her life for the wrong notion that “It is better not to live than to live disgraced’ A tract was given her from which she learned about the love of God (john 3; 16, and the power in one’s words Mark- 11:23.

O Lord, help me to be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

GOD NEVER HAS ANY EMERGENCY.-- Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psalms 104:24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

Great men and women queue up for an audience with the king. The appointment book of the king may be filled throughout the year but the king’s son can walk right to the king without any appointment.

A certain woman took her 7 year old daughter into a supermarket. The little girl had done so well in her examination scoring 100% in all the subjects, so her mother wanted to give her a treat by buying a few things for her. So te mother said, “go around this supermarket and pick anything you want for yourself. The girl said, “really” and the mother replied “yes”. So, the little girl began to move about the supermarket.

There were materials in that supermarket that were tagged N20, 000.00(twenty thousand naira), thirty thousand naira and so on, but she didn’t want all that. After moving about for some minutes, she came to her mother and said, “Mummy” I’ve found something.” What did she want? A packet of chewing g! The mother said, “Is this you want?

And the girl replied by saying “. I don’t know how much you ha and I don’t want to disgrace you.” The mother then said “but I asked you to pick anything you want knowing that the most expensive thing here is 36,000 and I have 100,000.

The earth is full of thy riches Lord; make me a partaker of thy riches, that I lack no good things Lord in Jesus name.

GOD NEVER HAS ANY EMERGENCY.

GOD NEVER HAS ANY EMERGENCY.

GOD OWN TRAINING-

GOD OWN TRAINING-

John 16:21 “A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world”.

A certain man suddenly discovered that there was gold everywhere in that city. People rushed with madness. They picked gold and became instant millionaires and billionaires. There was technological explosion, and the city was very prosperous. But after some time the gold finished. And because the foundation of that city was based on gold, immediately gold finished, the city got finished.

Now, the place is like a ghost town. Industries and houses are still there, but on one lives there anymore. The people in that place were trying to build a permanent structure on a city without foundation.

The Lord will pass a man trough process for the man to mature and to prepare him for greater things ahead.

Beloved, the trouble you are in is a signal that your life is threats to some powers. Most of the problems that most people complain about are really profitable difficulties.

If you cannot fly, run. If you cannot run, walk. If you cannot walk, crawl but by all means keep moving. Check your life and see how far you’ve moved spiritually.

ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO GOD?

ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO GOD?

1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

There was an advertisement in television in America for one month that, one man was going to climb the tallest building in Los Angeles without anything only with his hands and his legs. So come the D-day and people gathered at the tallest building and the man started little by little from one window to the other, he was going and going, twentieth, thirtieth floor, it remained just the last floor for him to reach the roof and then he just grabbed something to hold so that he wil climb up.

Everybody saw him grabbing that thing but the next thing they saw that he somersaulted backward and smashed to pieces on the floor. By the time they will get to him, the pieces of iron that he thought he was holding was thick cobwebs, it was still in his hands as he laid there dead. What is in your hands? Is it something that last or something that will not last?

Are you holding on to God that will last or something that will perish?

SELFISHNESS- A LIGHT THAT REFUSED TO SHINE

Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

SELFISHNESS- A LIGHT THAT REFUSED TO SHINE

A certain nurse was on night duty. As she was closing in the morning, an accident victim was rushed into the hospital. By then, she had already painted her face and was just waiting for the nick of 8 O’clock before leaving. She refused to attend to the victim; she told the people who brought him in that, they should wait for the nurse that would take over from her. At 8 am on the dot, she left. When she got home, she did not see her husband.

Later in the day, she was told that her husband just died from injuries sustained in an accident.

Later, she found out that the accident victim that was brought to her that morning, was her husband. If she had not been selfish, she would have administered first aid on the man and e might not have died.

Would you blame the devil for the death of that man?

Many of the problems of man will disappear, if he can remove selfishness from his life and the idea of engaging/in thoughtless action.

Many Christians might not want to face this fact, but majority are selfish in that they pray for themselves only. All forms of anger that most people engage in are motivated by selfishness. Most people are angry because someone has violated their right; they are interested only in themselves.

They think highly of themselves, such people forget that if they die, they cannot ask people to put them in a 12-foot coffin. No matter how rich or famous you are, it is 6 feet.

When you are bitter against someone, it is because the person has done something to hurt your pride.

God reconfigure my life to love my neighbor as myself in Jesus name.

BRIGHTER DAYS.

BRIGHTER DAYS.

Beloved, for many today, life is gloomy and the future looks bleak. There are many unanswered questions in their minds. Where are we heading to? Who can rescue us? Does God really exist? Why are there so many evil today? These are just a few of such questions, but you are not one of these people. You’re blessed. God will surely send a Joseph in your life; and you will forget your pains of yesterday in Jesus name.

Is your effort in life filled with much disappointment? Are you losing courage and growing weary? Is your life filed with sorrow and despair? Are you friendless? Stop awhile! There is hope. Your days can be brighter if you look in the right direction. Many people desire to see brighter days. They want to have brighter opportunities, better homes, improved health, better jobs, better cars and brighter family lives.

But they seek all these in so many ways except the one acceptable to God; some do make haste to claim the precious promises of God regarding these provisions without considering the attached conditions.

They live their lives as if these conditions do not matter. Yet it is alone in observing them that we find the gateway to brighter days.

What ten are the conditions that will make your days brighter?

The first law in heaven is obedience. Tied to this is submission.

Expect divine lifting!

THE MAN THAT ENJOYS GOD’S BLESSINGS

1 Cor. 1:27 THE MAN THAT ENJOYS GOD’S BLESSINGS

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”

God has a marvelous and brilliant way of camouflaging opportunities to look like difficulties. Hundreds of Bible characters, including Joseph, discovered this. Have you?

Prayer Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

IN GOD’S CLASSROOM, ADVERSITY IS A COURSE

Romans 8;31 IN GOD’S CLASSROOM, ADVERSITY IS A COURSE

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Some use unpleasant situation and difficulties as an excuse for becoming bitter and hostile. But God intends that life’s trials should make us better- not bitter. How are you reacting what is happening in your life at the moment - with despair or delight?

LORD, because you are on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? I will boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear, for man shall not do me evil.

O LORD, DO NOT BE SILENT

1 John 5;14-15   O LORD, DO NOT BE SILENT

And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

How do God’s true servants react in times of emergency or great crises? They react as did Abraham by turning to God in fervent believing prayer. Life’s best outlook is a prayerful uplook!

O marvelous God, because your eyes are upon the righteous, and your ears are open unto their cry, do not be silent to my cry in Jesus name.

Hebrews 11: 1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith never quibbles at God demands, even though those demands are sometimes go against reason. But what is faith? No greater definition of faith has ever been given than that contained in the simple acrostic: Forsaking All I Trust Him.

My God, whosoever puts his trust upon you will never be stranded, let me never be stranded in the race of life in Jesus name.

Hebrews 9:15 SUPREME NEED OF THE HOUR

Hebrews 9:15 SUPREME NEED OF THE HOUR

And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

When God wants to turn situation from despair to delight, all He has to do is breathe into it. The aspirate (the letter (“h”) is inserted Abram’s and Sarai’s names, thus indicating that the breath of God was at work. He does the same with the word “impossible” .He breathes into it and it becomes “Him- possible”

O Lord, have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. Let me and my seed enjoy the covenant of an everlasting blessings, good health and long life in Jesus name.

DIVINE SUCCESS

Joshua 1:8 DIVINE SUCCESS

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

A certain army went for battle. They were about two thousand in number. The opposition dominated until they were about 150 left.

The general gathered them together and asked them to fight on but they said they could not continue since most of them were already killed. So, the general said they should toss a coin. If it was head they would fight on and if it was tail they would go back home according to destiny. They all agreed. So, he threw the coin up and it landed heads.

And they said they would fight if that was what destiny wanted. They fought like wounded lions and won. After the victory, somebody congratulated the general and said, “Thank you very much sir, for it was our destiny to fight and win.”

The general laughed and brought out the coin, the coin had head on the two sides. So, they had no choice than to succeed. It is the same thing with a believer.

He or she has been destined to succeed. Do not bother about you age, it is never too late to become what God has destined you to be.

It means that when Jesus comes into your situation, no matter what waves are ragging against your success, when He speaks, the waves shall obey. The power of God is the only power that has no comparison His power is absolute power. His power is beyond imagination. His power is beyond contest, in fact, His power does not tolerate contest, and is able to cancel the mandate of Satan that is harassing anyone.

I pray that divine success will overshadow your life, and people who formerly snubbed you would seek for your attention in Jesus name.

Genesis 27: 40 LIFE IS A BATTLE, BE A STAR.

Genesis 27: 40 LIFE IS A BATTLE, BE A STAR.

“And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck”.

There was a king who has a very beautiful daughter and he decided that her marriage would be special. He said he would only give his daughter to the man, who would swim across the river which was filled with hundreds of crocodiles.

All the young men that were eligible came out when they heard that the king wanted suitors for his daughter but when they heard about the swimming, they started to leave one after the other.

Suddenly, there was a splash in the river; a man was swimming. He swam vigorously as he was about to get out of the river, a crocodile grabbed his shoe but he was able to escape.

Everyone applauded him as he came out and they congratulated him for becoming the king’s son in- law. He said they should not congratulate him, that he was just a spectator and did not know who pushed him into the river. H was looking for the person in order to fight him.

The reality is that, he won a race that he did not apply for. He was forced to run a race that he was not interested in .In fact; the whole idea could have sounded ridiculous to him.

The king idea was to push the young man into the dangerous waters, so that he can repossess all the wealth that his great grand –fathers have lost, all the good things that members of his family have never had the opportunity of touching.

All the good things of which you have been dreaming will come to you in Jesus name.

For you to king over your situation and speak words that will make you repossess you possession, you have to first be king over yourself, your body and your flesh.

Life is a battle and we need to fight! We are engaged in this battle, not because we desire it, but because life is a battle. People enter into the battle-field at different stages in their lives. Some get in before they are born, some get in at birth and some get in at infancy. Some in their adolescences, some as adults, some in their old age and so on

Te battle that each individual has to fight differ one from the other; the resistance and strength of each individual differ on from the other.

People will serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: you’ll be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee in Jesus name.

PRAYER HAS NO ALTERNATIVE

PRAYER HAS NO ALTERNATIVE

Sunny tells a story about being in a church in Lagos where he was asked to pray for a man who had cancer. Sunny prayed boldly for the man's healing.

That next week he got a telephone call from the man's wife. She said, "You prayed for my husband. He had cancer."

Sunny thought when he heard her use the past tense verb that his cancer had been eradicated! But before he could think much about it she said, "He died." Sunny felt terrible.

But she continued, "Don't feel bad. When he came into that church that Sunday he was filled with anger. He knew he was going to be dead in a short period of time, and he hated God

He was 58 years old, and he wanted to see his children and grandchildren grow up. He was angry that this all-powerful God didn't take away his sickness and heal him. He would lie in bed and curse God.

The more his anger grew towards God, the more miserable he was to everybody around him. It was an awful thing to be in his presence."

But the lady told Sunny, "After you prayed for him, a peace had come over him and a joy had come into him.

Mike, the last three days have been the best days of our lives. We've sung. We've laughed. We've read Scripture. We prayed. Oh, they've been wonderful days. And I called to thank you for laying your hands on him and praying for healing."

And then she said something incredibly profound.

She said, "He wasn't cured, but he was healed."

Fact is, God can heal not just physically but also emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

If you are...

...Sick and tired of your financial situation.

...Hurting because of bad relationships.

...Feeling hopeless with your health problems.

...Stagnant in your faith in God.

A FRIEND'S LOVE

A FRIEND'S LOVE
Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

It is not sinful or “unscriptural” to acknowledge one’s confusion in the presence of sickness, distress or suffering. Emotions that are not faced cause trouble. You don’t have to agree with them, but you do have to face them in God’s strength.

I desire a friend loves at all times, the one that value to my life and not the one that deduct from me in Jesus name.

GOD IS OUR COMFORTER

GOD IS OUR COMFORTER

Sometimes the greatest thing you can do for a person who is going through a difficult trial is to sit down with them saying nothing, but sow by your actions that you really care. This usually far better than a round of speeches.

Isaiah 43:2-3 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.

Surely you shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence in Jesus name..

SATAN'S STRATEGY

STATAN’S STRATEGY

1 Cor. 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

Satan has a well worked-out strategy with which he tempts humanity. He appeals :

(1) to the lust of the flesh,

(2) to the lust of the eyes and

(3) top the pride of life,. Are you able to discern this strategy at work in your life?. And are you over-coming it?

2Co 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The enemy shall not abort my destiny in Jesus name.

THE ALMIGHTY GOD.

THE ALMIGHTY GOD.

Matt. 1:16 “….and Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.

Some regards the genealogies here as dull and uninteresting, but it is a lesson in how God pays attention to details. He is concerned not only about the general features of your life, but every detail of it Remember that the net time you feel God doesn’t care.

God knows the number of the bucket of water in the ocean, He knows the number of sand by the seashore.

God also knows the number of the strand of hair on our heads.

Psalms 25:2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me

O Lord, I commit all my life affairs unto Thy hands, let me not be ashamed.

HOW TO BREAK HABITUAL SINS...

HOW TO BREAK HABITUAL SINS...

Bruce Wilkinson, author of Prayer of Jabez, said:

"Sexual immorality is a threshold sin.

On one side of the threshold is immorality and on the other is purity. On one side are guilt, lying, deceit, addiction, and shame, an on the other side are freedom, honesty, transparency, liberty, and a clear conscience.

Believers who are in bondage to immorality find that unless they experience victory in this area, they cannot grow in holiness or serve the Lord with passion and power..."

Let me ask you this...

Are you struggling on any habitual sin? Alcohol, sex, smoking, pornography, impure thoughts and the likes?

If you are, I want to tell you this...God still loves you!

He's with you in your battle against sin and He'll stay with you no matter how many times you sin again.

God won't let you go! You're precious to Him.

Truth is, you can't win any battle unless you keep your heart and mind with God's Word.

Regularly reading, memorizing, and meditating and confessing God's Word is a sure way to resist all form of temptations.

If you're still not confessing, meditating God's Word, what's stopping you?

What's holding you back?

Never again go in a battle where your chances of winning are slim to none.

Hebrew 4:12 says...

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Did you hear that?

If that verse didn't hit you and you should read it again. That's how powerful God's Word is.
So make a commitment today to meditate at least one Bible verse and meditate it throughout the day.

Once you feel the enemy is trying to tempt you, just close your eyes and meditate your memory verse. I guarantee you that you'll feel God's power lifting you up.
Remember, you don't have to go alone in your daily battle. God is with you.

Stay conscious of God's power in you by your confessing God’s word .

Jeremiah 29:11 "THE LORD PLANS TO PROSPER YOU"

Jeremiah 29:11 THE LORD PLANS TO PROSPER YOU

A man drove into Lagos and hired a taxi to take him to business district area of the state. As he was riding along they came to a red light and the driver went right on through the red light.

The man said, "Hey, the light was red. You're supposed to stop." The driver said, "Yeah, I know, but my brother does it all the time."

Soon they came to a second red light and again he went right straight through. The passenger said, "You're going to get us killed. That light was red. Why didn't you stop?"

The driver said, "Don't worry about it. My brother does it all the time."

Then they came to a green light and he stopped. The man said, "The light is green. Now is the time to go. Why don't you go on through?"

The driver answered, "I know it's green. But you never know when my brother may be coming through."

Sometimes it seems as if the world is going through on red and stopping on green. We're constantly trying things that don't work.

The good news is the Gospel works.

Even if things are not going your way, Jeremiah 29:11 says...

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Keep your eyes on God by constantly reading, confessing God’s word, and meditating scriptures.

The fact is, as long we're in this sinful earth, we will continuously experience problems and difficulties in life.

But God uses these problems to break us and mold us so we can all be like Him.

Reading and memorizing God's Word is a powerful way to remind ourselves that God is on our side no matter what happens.

I encourage you to begin your journey to a healthier Christian life through Bible reading.

Expect divine encounter and rescue in Jesus name.

BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE

BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE

(1Co 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.)

Mr. Vill, was invited by his in-laws after series of attacks on them by their enemies, to assist in arresting and winning the battle that has almost wiped away the people and their generation. The error in that land too has also come to a full blown war threatening to destroy the foundation of their lives.

..When Mr. Vill got to the place, he told his in-laws of how anxiety almost wipe out everybody in their land and the strategies to ameliorate the problems.

He then pleaded that 28 deaf and dump people be sought and given for his mission to be accomplished in that land.

Within the twinkle of an eye, the men were made available to him. Unknown to them; the secret of victory lied in these men.

The people did not know how to communicate to these deaf and dump men; but to alleviate the problems in their land; they met every demand of their in-law. - Mr. Vill.

The great day came when Mr. Vill and his men were to commence the alleviation of the problems; the deaf and dump men who were now skilled in the art with full understanding of their assignment went into action.

They first gave reverence to God and to the amazement and to full glare of the people these men fought, captured and plundered the root of the people’s apprehension.

When asked why the use of deaf and dump people, Mr. Vill said that they would not hear the discouraging sermons, words, and distraction etc of the indigenes of the land; he also said the fearful talks; boasting of the enemies were no treats to them because they could not hear them.

Mr. Vill said most importantly that there was no compromise, leakage of their warfare plans, talk back etc from his camp.

Thus the word of God admonishes us to as listed below:

2   Ch 32:8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah

Ps 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Zec 10:5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

1Co 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU.

Jeremiah 17:7–8 ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU.

"But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.

Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit."

...Do you ever find yourself saying something like "I'm doing fine, under the circumstances"?

These verses paint a picture of life despite circumstances. Heat and drought do not bother the tree that has roots that reach deep into the water. You become like such a tree by complete trust in God, by looking to God alone for your hope and confidence.

When something happens that could disturb you, you sink your roots a little deeper into the character of God.

You lean on the truth of his rock-solid trustworthiness. And you find yourself unshakable, fruitful.

God will empower you to have dominion over circumstances, situations etc.in Jesus name.

THE POWER OF CHOICE

Deut. 11:26-28.THE POWER OF CHOICE

“See. I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse – the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God… the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God…”

As free agents, we may choose for ourselves which path to take, but in the divine scheme of things it always works out like this: obedience brings results; disobedience brings consequences. We are free to choose, but we are not free to choose the consequences of our choosing. Today; therefore – choose life!

...

O Lord, I pray that you grant me the power to choose for myself the path of goodness in Jesus name.

O Lord, I choose to to lean on you so that you would balance my ife's account in Jesus name.

BREAKING THE HABIT –WORRY

BREAKING THE HABIT –WORRY

Today, I would like to share to you this one thing that derails Christians from growing in faith.

This thing is very deceiving and in most cases taken lightly. That's why it's powerful and destructive.

What I'm talking about is... worry.

You see, lots of people are worried about their bills, thinning hair, health, kids, wrinkles in their faces and all other things.

It's an unconscious habit that people are doing that's taking the limelight from God and focusing it on their problems.

Listen up.

In Matthew 6:25-27 says that we shouldn't be anxious about our life because "worrying" won't add a single hour in our life.

In fact, it's a sin since we're seeing our problem as if it's bigger than our God.

So how do break the habit of worrying?

Really, there several ways to break it but I'll show you a better and long-term solution.

Think about this.

Worrying is actually an act of meditation. It is focusing your mind on things that may go wrong.

Oddly enough, we also worry about the things that have already happened. And we cannot change the past.

Here's a better solution.

Instead of meditating on the negative, why not meditate on God's Words and promises to you?

If bills and expenses are piling up, why not meditate this truth...

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Simply close your eyes and recite this verse meaningfully three times to experience its power.

No doubt, confessing the word of God, scripture memorization and meditation is probably the fastest and easiest way to break the worry habit.

I PRAY THAT NO PROMISE OF GOD SHALL ELUDE ME BECAUSE OF WORRY IN JESUS NAME.

I TEAR THE GARMENT OF WORRY INTO SHREDS AND I PUT ON THE GARMENT OF FAITH IN JESUS NAME.

WORRY, YOU’VE SENT MANY PEOPLE TO THEIR EARLY GRAVE, I AM NOT YOUR CANDIDATE IN JESUS NAME.

BUYING THE WARES OF DESTRUCTION

BUYING THE WARES OF DISTRUCTION

Flesh is the enemy of true source of success.

Flesh is the giant that stand against success: Proverbs 5:21-22 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

Painting of face is extremely expression of carnality for it is a choice to take the body that is redeemed by Christ and to join it to sin and thus becoming flesh with sin. Decorating of the face by our ladies is deception and the only place where deception is not lie is a football field because you will dribble somebody.

The wall of moral standard will develop holes and honesty is becoming less and less popular

1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Our ladies are beautiful without the crude painting on their faces. The error in our land being imported by our ladies is destroying our women and scares away our prospective husbands.

Why would our women waste their earning on makeup kits?.

Why do they feel inadequate?

Do they not know that termites will end up eating flesh their existence in this part of eternity?

Our daily race should be to do the will of our creator.

I pray that flesh will close the door of eternal life in Jesus name.

HUMAN NATURE

We doubt the future, we all call it worry.

We doubt other people, we call suspicion.

We doubt everything, we call skepticism.

We doubt God, we it uncertainty.

We doubt what we have on TV, we call it intelligence

MAKING SENS OUT OF GOD

There was a king who reigned for 95 years but had no child; though he had many slaves in his palace. He was always invited to occasions but never attended any due to the tradition of his town; that no king should attend any occasion without being escorted by his son.

During this period in review, one of his very close friends invited him and earnestly begged that his presence will be highly appreciated.

After this entreaty from a very treasured friend, since the occasion is scheduled to take place in another town, the king decided to train the most the senior slave who has been with him for up to25 year.

During the training sessions, the senior slave showed positive mannerism; which gave the king the required confidence to decide to take him along as is sons.

The day of occasion finally came, the senior slave was well dressed as a prince; the training was well rehearsed, to cover every area of displeasure in the occasion that will bring shame to the king, his province and his reign.

Eventually, they got to the occasion, well ushered to the ‘high table’ the senior slave now the ‘Prince’ was well received, seated beside the king as one of the representatives of the King.

After all the events, the senior slave behaved well, but when the food was served to them, the senior slave manifested is real behavior and stated eating very fast and in a disorderly manner that brought disappointment to the king.

The king tried to restrain himself from shouting at or beating him when the slave left his seat on the high table to meet the other invitees and begin to eat the leftover of their food.

At the king’s command he was taken away from the place, before more damages harm could be done.

king who was very disappointed took the senior slave home, punished him and after showing remorse; he was restored to his position, to go and sin no more.

We were like the senior slave, before God showed us compassion, cleanse us and brought us back to His kingdom.

Why won’t we love God (the king) with all our heart and obey his commandment and live. He first loved us when we were yet sinners.

One question Christian frequently ask is this: How can we make sense out of the apparently meaningless events of life, there is only one way.

You must endeavor to see life from God’s point of view.

You can’t make sense out of life but you can make sense out of God.

O God, teach me to do your will,
For you are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of righteousness in Jesus name.

YOUR YESTERDAY.

YOUR YESTERDAY.

Your yesterdays have made you what you are today, but your tomorrows can make you what God always intended you to become. If your yesterdays were a long list of repeated failures and rebellion against God; and have been reinstated frequently by Him and you flagrantly sin again; God might strip you of any future blessing.
Choose to consecrate yourself for the wonders of God; realign yourself with God’s plans and watch Him begin to work in your life. Do not discard your tomorrow when you desperately need them.

Time has a way of catching you unawares. It seems like yesterday I was young, just married and embarking on my new life. Where did the years go? I know I have lived them all, and I get ‘glimpses’ of how it was back then …my hopes and dreams. But here it is …the winter of my life…How did I get here so fast? I remember seeing older people and thinking winter was so far off I could not fathom or imagine it. But here it is ..my friends are retired and getting grey…they move slower…I see great changes. I remember when they were young and vibrant, now we are the ‘old folks’ we never thought we would become.
Each day I find that taking a shower is a real target, and taking a nap is not a treat anymore, it is mandatory, otherwise I fall asleep where I am sitting. I am unprepared for the aches, pains, and the loss of strength and ability to do the things I wish I would have done and did not do. Winter is here and I am not sure how long it will last. If you are not there yet, let me remind you it will be here faster than you think.

Whatever you would like to accomplish in your life…do it today. Do not put it off, because you can never be sure if this is your winter.

There is no guarantee you will see every season of life, so say and do all the things you would want your loved ones to remember. Your life is a gift from God; how you live it is your gift to Him and ensuing generations’.

"O that they were wise that they understood this that they would consider their latter end! Det.32:29

The bible says: Oh, that they were wise, they understand this, that they would consider their later end! One of life’s greatest challenges is thinking and doing the things that ultimately matter and bring success.
A life in which anything goes, is a life in which nothing goes, Wisdom means having the discipline to prioritize and the ability to work towards a stated goal. The question is not, ‘Will my calendar be full’, but ‘Who will fill it’, and ‘what will it be filled with? To know your life’s priorities you must frequently pause and ask:

(1) Lord, what do you want me to do?’ “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. Acts 9:6

(2) What is required of me that nobody else can do?

(3) What will bring the greatest return? God does not reward effort, He rewards wisdom.

The Lord will reveal beneficial secrets and grant me the understanding of where I would fit into God's programme for this generation in Jesus name.

THE SURVEY OF LIFE.

THE SURVEY OF LIFE

In a survey, people over 90 were asked, ‘If you had your life to live over what would you do differently? ‘Three answers constantly re-emerged:

(a)I would spend time with my family and friends.

(b)I would take more risks.

(c)I would do things that would live on after I am gone.
Wisdom is the art of knowing what to overlook. Petty things steal too much of time and we finish up living for the wrong reasons.

Planned neglect until my training period is completed, I deliberately neglect everything else. If you react to every situation and say,’yes’to every request, you will never succeed in what you are called to do. Several years ago 300 died mysteriously. Why? Because they pursued a school of sardines and ended up marooned in a bay. The little ones to their deaths.

By chasing small ends they wasted their vast powers and got on significant results. Paul had it figured out: ‘The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me’ ‘’But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. (KJV)Acts 20:24.What is your most important thing?
One of the most interesting stories to come from the Titanic disaster was of a wealthy woman who had a place in one of the life boats. Asking if she could return to her stateroom for something, she was given three minutes. Stepping over money and precious gems littering her cabin floor, she grabbed three oranges and returned to the lifeboat. Circumstances transformed her values; tragedy clarified her priorities. Learn from her; be wise prioritize.

BE WISE, PRIORITZE

BE WISE, PRIORITZE

There lived a   lighthouse keeper on a rocky stretch of coastline who received a new supply of oil each month to keep the light burning. Being close to the shore he had lots of guest.

A woman from the village needed some oil to keep her family warm; a farmer requested some for his tractor; a mechanic wanted some to lubricate a wheel. All the request seemed legitimate so the lighthouse keeper tried to please everybody. Before the month was over his oil was gone and the beacon went out.

As a result several ships were wrecked and lives were lost. When the authorities investigated, the man was very repentant. But to his excuses and pleading their reply was, ‘You were given oil for one purpose to keep the light burning, ‘Be wise prioritize!

KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be. That’s when you have to tell yourself that will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.

But those are time when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in life, and it is up to you to accept them.

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy. At times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.

So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.

Because the changes and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

PRAYER:

O Lord, grant me beneficial secrets and the strength to prevail contrary circumstances in Jesus name..

THE STORY OF AN ANT.

THE STORY OF AN ANT.

One morning I wasted nearly an hour watching a tiny ant carry a huge feather across my back terrace. Several times it was confronted by obstacles in its path and after a momentary pause it would make the necessary detour. At one point the ant had to negotiate a crack in the concrete about 10mm wide .After brief consideration the ant laid the feather over the crack walked across it and picked up the feather on the other side then continued on its way.

I was fascinated by the ingenuity of this ant, one of God’s smallest creatures. It served to reinforce the miracle of creation. Here was a minute insect lacking in the size yet equipped with a brain to reason, explore, discover and overcome. But this ant, like the two- legged co –residents of this planet, also shares human failings. After some time the ant finally reached its destination –a flower bed at the end of the terrace and a small hole that was the entrance to its underground home.

And it was here that the ant finally met its match. How could that large feather possibly fit down that small hole? Of course it couldn’t. So the ant after all this trouble and exercise great ingenuity, overcoming problems all along the way, just abandoned the feather and went home. The ant had not thought the problem through before it began its marathon journey and in the end the feather was nothing more than a burden. Isn’t lifelike that!

We worry about our family, we worry about money or the lack of it, we worry about work, about where we live, about all sorts of things, These are all burdens – the things we pick up along life’s path and lug them around the obstacles and over the crevasses that life will bring, only to find that at the destination, they are useless and we can’t take them with us.

PRAYER:

1. O Lord, whatever will be useless to me in my life journey, let me not be attracted to it in Jesus name.

2. O Lord, any project that will waste my time, energy and gulp my resources, make it an abomination to me in Jesus name.

3. My God, I was created to win Gold in my life race, let me not be left empty at the end of the race in Jesus name.

AN UNGRATEFUL BLIND GIRL

AN UNGRATEFUL BLIND GIRL

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and ten she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriends ask her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.er boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:

“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

LIFE IS A GIFT.

Today before you think of saying an unkind word – think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food – think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife – think of someone who is crying to God for companion.

Before you complain about life – think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children – think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you complain about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep – think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive – think of someone who walk same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job – think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another – remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thought seem to get you down – put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

Abut before you think
