YOUR YESTERDAY.

YOUR YESTERDAY.

Your yesterdays have made you what you are today, but your tomorrows can make you what God always intended you to become. If your yesterdays were a long list of repeated failures and rebellion against God; and have been reinstated frequently by Him and you flagrantly sin again; God might strip you of any future blessing.
Choose to consecrate yourself for the wonders of God; realign yourself with God’s plans and watch Him begin to work in your life. Do not discard your tomorrow when you desperately need them.

Time has a way of catching you unawares. It seems like yesterday I was young, just married and embarking on my new life. Where did the years go? I know I have lived them all, and I get ‘glimpses’ of how it was back then …my hopes and dreams. But here it is …the winter of my life…How did I get here so fast? I remember seeing older people and thinking winter was so far off I could not fathom or imagine it. But here it is ..my friends are retired and getting grey…they move slower…I see great changes. I remember when they were young and vibrant, now we are the ‘old folks’ we never thought we would become.
Each day I find that taking a shower is a real target, and taking a nap is not a treat anymore, it is mandatory, otherwise I fall asleep where I am sitting. I am unprepared for the aches, pains, and the loss of strength and ability to do the things I wish I would have done and did not do. Winter is here and I am not sure how long it will last. If you are not there yet, let me remind you it will be here faster than you think.

Whatever you would like to accomplish in your life…do it today. Do not put it off, because you can never be sure if this is your winter.

There is no guarantee you will see every season of life, so say and do all the things you would want your loved ones to remember. Your life is a gift from God; how you live it is your gift to Him and ensuing generations’.

"O that they were wise that they understood this that they would consider their latter end! Det.32:29

The bible says: Oh, that they were wise, they understand this, that they would consider their later end! One of life’s greatest challenges is thinking and doing the things that ultimately matter and bring success.
A life in which anything goes, is a life in which nothing goes, Wisdom means having the discipline to prioritize and the ability to work towards a stated goal. The question is not, ‘Will my calendar be full’, but ‘Who will fill it’, and ‘what will it be filled with? To know your life’s priorities you must frequently pause and ask:

(1) Lord, what do you want me to do?’ “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. Acts 9:6

(2) What is required of me that nobody else can do?

(3) What will bring the greatest return? God does not reward effort, He rewards wisdom.

The Lord will reveal beneficial secrets and grant me the understanding of where I would fit into God's programme for this generation in Jesus name.

THE SURVEY OF LIFE.

THE SURVEY OF LIFE

In a survey, people over 90 were asked, ‘If you had your life to live over what would you do differently? ‘Three answers constantly re-emerged:

(a)I would spend time with my family and friends.

(b)I would take more risks.

(c)I would do things that would live on after I am gone.
Wisdom is the art of knowing what to overlook. Petty things steal too much of time and we finish up living for the wrong reasons.

Planned neglect until my training period is completed, I deliberately neglect everything else. If you react to every situation and say,’yes’to every request, you will never succeed in what you are called to do. Several years ago 300 died mysteriously. Why? Because they pursued a school of sardines and ended up marooned in a bay. The little ones to their deaths.

By chasing small ends they wasted their vast powers and got on significant results. Paul had it figured out: ‘The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me’ ‘’But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. (KJV)Acts 20:24.What is your most important thing?
One of the most interesting stories to come from the Titanic disaster was of a wealthy woman who had a place in one of the life boats. Asking if she could return to her stateroom for something, she was given three minutes. Stepping over money and precious gems littering her cabin floor, she grabbed three oranges and returned to the lifeboat. Circumstances transformed her values; tragedy clarified her priorities. Learn from her; be wise prioritize.

BE WISE, PRIORITZE

BE WISE, PRIORITZE

There lived a   lighthouse keeper on a rocky stretch of coastline who received a new supply of oil each month to keep the light burning. Being close to the shore he had lots of guest.

A woman from the village needed some oil to keep her family warm; a farmer requested some for his tractor; a mechanic wanted some to lubricate a wheel. All the request seemed legitimate so the lighthouse keeper tried to please everybody. Before the month was over his oil was gone and the beacon went out.

As a result several ships were wrecked and lives were lost. When the authorities investigated, the man was very repentant. But to his excuses and pleading their reply was, ‘You were given oil for one purpose to keep the light burning, ‘Be wise prioritize!

KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be. That’s when you have to tell yourself that will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.

But those are time when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in life, and it is up to you to accept them.

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy. At times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.

So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.

Because the changes and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

PRAYER:

O Lord, grant me beneficial secrets and the strength to prevail contrary circumstances in Jesus name..

THE STORY OF AN ANT.

THE STORY OF AN ANT.

One morning I wasted nearly an hour watching a tiny ant carry a huge feather across my back terrace. Several times it was confronted by obstacles in its path and after a momentary pause it would make the necessary detour. At one point the ant had to negotiate a crack in the concrete about 10mm wide .After brief consideration the ant laid the feather over the crack walked across it and picked up the feather on the other side then continued on its way.

I was fascinated by the ingenuity of this ant, one of God’s smallest creatures. It served to reinforce the miracle of creation. Here was a minute insect lacking in the size yet equipped with a brain to reason, explore, discover and overcome. But this ant, like the two- legged co –residents of this planet, also shares human failings. After some time the ant finally reached its destination –a flower bed at the end of the terrace and a small hole that was the entrance to its underground home.

And it was here that the ant finally met its match. How could that large feather possibly fit down that small hole? Of course it couldn’t. So the ant after all this trouble and exercise great ingenuity, overcoming problems all along the way, just abandoned the feather and went home. The ant had not thought the problem through before it began its marathon journey and in the end the feather was nothing more than a burden. Isn’t lifelike that!

We worry about our family, we worry about money or the lack of it, we worry about work, about where we live, about all sorts of things, These are all burdens – the things we pick up along life’s path and lug them around the obstacles and over the crevasses that life will bring, only to find that at the destination, they are useless and we can’t take them with us.

PRAYER:

1. O Lord, whatever will be useless to me in my life journey, let me not be attracted to it in Jesus name.

2. O Lord, any project that will waste my time, energy and gulp my resources, make it an abomination to me in Jesus name.

3. My God, I was created to win Gold in my life race, let me not be left empty at the end of the race in Jesus name.

AN UNGRATEFUL BLIND GIRL

AN UNGRATEFUL BLIND GIRL

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and ten she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriends ask her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.er boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:

“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

LIFE IS A GIFT.

Today before you think of saying an unkind word – think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food – think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife – think of someone who is crying to God for companion.

Before you complain about life – think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children – think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you complain about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep – think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive – think of someone who walk same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job – think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another – remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thought seem to get you down – put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

Abut before you think

GOD’S JUDGEMENT

GOD’S JUDGEMENT

Judgment of God is going on somewhere in one form or the other every day in this world.

Though it is not in the nature of God to throw people He came to save into hellfire. If you violate the law of nature, you will pay the price dearly. Hospitals are filled with people who have violated the laws of nature and are suffering now. The law of nature says that if you jump down from a 8-storey building, you either break your leg or die. If you put your finger inside fire, the law of nature says it will burn you. If you love and sleep with prostitutes, you will contact HIV. So judgment is going on in one form or the other in the world now.

But the judgment of God is a greater judgment. If you sow the seed of sin, you will reap the harvest of sorrow. The water of sin is very sweet but the consequences are very bitter, painful and cause death. (Physical /spiritual)

Men have their court of law, and sometimes if you get a smart lawyer or you are influential in the society, you may get yourself off the hook. But with God, it is a different matter entirely.

In God’s judgment, He will never make mistake. The judges of the earth may lock up the wrong person but God will make no such mistake.

Can you boldly say that you are a candidate of heaven and that your name will be in the book of life? Are you on the highway to heaven or you are on the expressway to hellfire?

Are you still doing those things God commanded you should not do? You are heading to hellfire. Are you living carelessly and being controlled by the spirit of lust? You may have a million excuses. But there will not be tenable on the Day of Judgment.

The Almighty is calling you to Himself, harken to His call before it is too late.

I pray that we would not activate what will destroy us and make end up in hellfire in Jesus name
