GOD’S HAS PURPOSE IT, NO MAN CAN ANNUL


Dr. Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ tells this story of a famous oil field called Yates Pool:

During the depression this field was a sheep ranch owned by a man named Yates. Mr. Yates wasn't able to make enough on his ranching operation to pay the principal and interest on the mortgage, so he was in danger of losing his ranch.

With little money for clothes or food, his family (like many others) had to live on government subsidy.

Day after day, as he grazed his sheep over those rolling West Texas hills, he was no doubt greatly troubled about how he would pay his bills.

Then a seismographic crew from an oil company came into the area and told him there might be oil on his land. They asked permission to drill a wildcat well, and he signed a lease contract.

At 1,115 feet they struck a huge oil reserve. The first well came in at 80,000 barrels a day. Many subsequent wells were more than twice as large.

In fact, 30 years after the discovery, a government test of one of the wells showed it still had the potential flow of 125,000 barrels of oil a day.

And Mr. Yates owned it all.

The day he purchased the land he had received the oil and mineral rights. Yet, he'd been living on relief.

A multimillionaire living in poverty.

The problem? He didn't know the oil was there even though he owned it.

Many Christians live in spiritual poverty.

Simply because they don't take the time to read, study the word of God, confess God’s word and meditate scriptures.

They are entitled to the gifts of the Holy Spirit and his energizing power, but they are not aware of their birthright.

Today break that spiritual poverty though scripture meditation of God’s word..

The life of man is like a mirror. It never gives you back more than what you put before it. If you frown at it, it frowns back at you .The real tragedy in life is not when the life terminates but when it fails to fulfill God’s purpose for it.

It is a tragedy for somebody to have a talent and fail to use it until he dies Life is also a one –way street. We cannot come back once we go through it.

The tragedy of life is that a lot of people get wise when it is too late.

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Some people are far below the ladder of success; and they wondering why their lives should be unfruitful and purposeless:-

The reason some people are far below the ladder now may be some careless sex they had when they were small boys and girls.

Sex can destroy someone’s beautiful and colourful destiny, and make that life a great regret.

I pray that you will wise and not love any strange thing that can make one regret later in life in Jesus name.

TRUST NOT IN YOUR OWN POWER


Mathew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Harry Houdini, the famed escape artist issued a challenge wherever he went.

He could be locked in any jail cell in the country, he claimed, and set himself free quickly and easily.

Always he kept his promise, but one time something went wrong.

Houdini entered the jail in his street clothes; the heavy, metal doors clanged shut behind him.

He took from his belt a concealed piece of metal, strong and flexible.

He set to work immediately, but something seemed to be unusual about this lock.

For 30 minutes he worked and got nowhere.

An hour passed, and still he had not opened the door.

By now he was bathed in sweat and panting in exasperation, but he still could not pick the lock.


Finally, after laboring for 2 hours, Harry Houdini collapsed in frustration and failure against the door he could not unlock.

But when he fell against the door, it swung open! It had never been locked at all!

But in his mind it was locked and that was all it took to keep him from opening the door and walking out of the jail cell.

That's how powerful your God-given mind is.

So if you think you're too weak to win any battle...then you're right.

If you think you are not a strong person and that you cannot win any race...then again you're right.

And if you think you're not favoured by God...you're right too.

Simply stated, you'll believe what you want to believe is true.

I'm sorry but all these are just lies that the enemy are whispering to your ears.

Because the enemy would rather have you meditate on fears, doubts, and impurity than the true and living power of the Word of God.

But I trust you that you'll make a right decision and start your journey to a healthier relationship with God and through your faith in God .

Today, make a bold step to bring your spiritual life to the next level.

God is waiting for you to move first before He will accomplish your aspiration.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.


An Arab chief tells a story of a spy who was captured and then sentenced to death by a general in the Persian army.

This general had the strange custom of giving condemned criminals a choice between the firing squad and the big, black door.

As the moment for execution drew near, the spy was brought to the Persian general, who asked the question, "What will it be: the firing squad or the big, black door?"

The spy hesitated for a long time. It was a difficult decision. He chose the firing squad.

Moments later shots rang out confirming his execution. The general turned to his aide and said, "They always prefer the known way to the unknown. It is characteristic of people to be afraid of the undefined. Yet, we gave him a choice."

The aide said, "What lies beyond the big door?"

"Freedom," replied the general. "I've known only a few brave enough to take it."

In life, you always have a choice to do the right thing over the wrong thing.

You can choose to do things that will help you grow spiritually or you don't. You can choose to read your Bible or watch television instead. You can choose to study God's Word or read a celebrity magazine.

Ultimately, every decision will lead you to a consequence.

So be smart in making decision and be serious in growing your faith.

Again, it's your choice to ignore this message or start a spiritual revival that will lead to a serious relationship with God; then you would be a Spirit-Filled Christian,

If you choose the latter... you better start moving and get out of your comfort zone.

Ignore the world and pursue after God.

GOD IS READY TO CHANGE YOU, ARE YOU READY?....

Mathew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Mathew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

A preacher and an atheistic barber were once walking through the city slums.

Said the barber to the preacher: "This is why I cannot believe in a God of love. If God was as kind and loving as you say, He would not permit all this poverty, disease, and squalor. He would not allow these poor bums to be addicted to dope and other character-destroying habits. No, I cannot believe in a God who permits these things."

The minister was silent until they met a man who was especially unkept and filthy. His hair was hanging down his neck and he had a half-inch of stubble on his face.

Said the minister: "You can't be a very good barber or you wouldn't permit a man like that to continue living in this neighborhood without a haircut and a shave."

Indignantly the barber answered: "Why blame me for that man's condition? I can't help it that he is like that. He has never come in my shop. I could fix him up and make him look like a gentleman!"

Giving the barber a penetrating look, the minister said: "Then don't blame God for allowing the people to continue in their evil ways, when He is constantly inviting them to come and be saved."

Truth be told, God can't change you unless you step forward and ask God to help you change for the better.

Take a step for God to help you resolve your life’s issue.

This simple step of studying the scriptures can change your life dramatically.

KEEP MOVING.......


Deuteronomy 2:3 Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.

A college class was graduating on a hot and humid day. As the graduants walked across the platform and received their diplomas from the president of the college, he smiled, shook their hands and said loudly, “Congratulations!” Then, in a much lower voice, one that was firm and could be heard only by the graduates, he would say, “keep moving.”

He was only trying to keep the line moving across the stage, but his words were good advice for a lifetime: “keep moving.” After every achievement growing up, graduation, marriage, job promotion, even retirement the best advice is “keep moving. Don’t stop. Don’t stagnate..”

There is more to life than you have found thus far. This is not the end: it is only the beginning. “keep moving.”

When we approach life with this attitude, we look forward to the future and what God has in store for us.

Luke 18:13 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

A long time ago, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods.

As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job.

His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family who had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had, that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment, and frustration.

Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there.. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

'Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don't know how. It is not fair Lord, I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray you teach me to do the one thing I cannot do: Teach me to forgive.'

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.

He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.

'Have you ever told a lie?' He asked?

The man answered - 'Yes, Lord.'

'Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?'

The man answered - 'Yes, Lord.' And the man sobbed more and more.

'Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?' Jesus asked?

And the man answered, 'Yes, Lord.'

'Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain?'

The man, crying now, answered - 'Yes, Lord.'

As Jesus asked many more times, 'Have you ever'? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - 'Yes, Lord'.

Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.

Jesus said, 'I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you.'

It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is.

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

Psalms 103:-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day, decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray. Just then the back door opened, a man came down the aisle, the minister frowned as he saw that the man hadn't shaved in awhile. His shirt was kind of’ shabby and his coat was worn and frayed. The man knelt, bowed his head, then arose and walked away.

In the days that followed each noon time came this chap and each time he knelt just for a moment, a lunch pail in his lap. Well, the minister’s suspicions grew, and robbery was his main fear.

He decided to stop the man and ask him, “What are’ doing’ here?”

The old man worked down the road. Lunch was half an hour. Lunch time was his prayer time, for finding strength and power. “I stay only moments, see, ’cause the factory is so far away; As I kneel here talking’ to the Lord, this is kind of’ what I say: “I Just Came Again to Tell You, Lord, How Happy I’ve Been, since We Found Each Other’s Friendship and You Took Away My Sin. I Don’t Know Much of How to Pray, but I Think about You Every day. So, Jesus, this Is Jim Checking’ In.”

The minister feeling foolish, told Jim, that was fine. He told the man he was welcome to come and pray just anytime. Time to go, Jim smiled, said “Thanks.” He hurried to the door. The minister knelt at the altar, he’d never done it before. His cold heart melted, warmed with love, met with Jesus there.

As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim’s prayer:

“I Just Came Again to Tell You, Lord, How Happy I’ve Been, Since We Found Each Other’s Friendship and You Took Away My Sin. I Don’t Know Much of How to Pray, but I Think about You Every day. So, Jesus, this Is Me Checking’ In.”

It was past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn’t come. As more days passed without Jim, he began to worry. He went to the factory and asked about Jim and found out he was ill. The hospital staff was worried, but he’d given them a thrill.

The week that Jim was with them, brought changes in the ward. His smiles, a joy contagious.

Changed people, his reward. The head nurse couldn’t understand why Jim was so glad, When no flowers, calls or cards came, not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed, he voiced the nurse’s concern: No friends came to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn. Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile; “The nurse is wrong, she couldn’t know, that all the while everyday at noon He’s here, a dear friend of mine, you see, He sits right down, takes my hand, leans over and says to me: “I Just Came Again to Tell You, Jim, How Happy I Have Been, since We Found this Friendship, and I Took Away Your Sin. I Always Love to Hear You Pray, I Think about You Each Day, and So Jim, this Is Jesus checking’ In.”

ARE YOU SPIRITUALLY KNOCKED OUT


Psalms 107:26-31 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

As my wife and I were working inside, we heard something hit the window. Looking out and seeing nothing, we stepped outside and there on the front porch was the still body of a woodpecker — a beautiful yellow-bellied sapsucker.

He had flown into the window, and, we presumed, broken his neck. My wife picked him up for a moment and stroked the red cap on his head and laid him back down.

Just then, I saw an eye blink. I was holding a utility cloth in my hand, and I picked him up and covered him, all but his head. His heart was racing wildly, and I felt just a twitch of his foot. I realized that this now helpless creature, if only knocked out, could revive at any moment and give me quite a pecking.
Instinctive caution urged me to leave the bird there and hope he would come around, and that was my plan, that is, until I saw the neighbor’s big black cat approaching in his most stealthy stalking mode.

I took the bird inside and found a box with a lid — if he revived and got loose in the house he probably would kill himself trying to get out.

I placed the bird-in-the- box in a quiet place and went about my work. About half an hour later, I walked close enough to the box to detect any activity, but there was none. Then my wife came in and spoke to me. Suddenly, there was scratching and a flurry inside the box that made me fear the lid would not remain closed.

We took the box outside, and carefully began to open the lid. As it opened an inch or so, the bird burst out and flew vigorously away to resume his place in God’s grand scheme of things.

As I saw that cat approaching earlier, I remembered 1 Peter 5:8 – - “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour”

That little bird, in his natural healthy state, would never fall prey to the cat, but he was knocked out.

My thoughts went back 25 years to a time in my life when I was spiritually “knocked out, and got to my wit end” I was dead in my sin and as helpless to ward off the attacks of the enemy of my soul as that little bird lying on my porch.

Then a wonderful, loving Savior reached down and picked me up. He sheltered me and let me know I was loved and protected — I only needed to trust Him. He didn’t put me in a box, but he gave me strength and the desire to “vigorously fly away” spiritually to take my place in His wonderful design for my life in His kingdom.

Don’t wait to be knocked down before you come to yourself. Your case may be different from the prodigal son who came back alive.

ARE GROWING UP IN THE LORD OR YOU ARE GROWING OLD?


Galatians 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

So you want to be a "Spirit-Filled" Christian, eh?
Wanna be an encouragement to others?

Be the spiritual leader in your family?

You see, most Christians will say "yes" to all questions above.

All Christians have that desires of hearing God's voice and his leading.

All Christians would like to see themselves being an encouragement to others.

All Christians would like to have a deeper relationship with God.
TRUTH: I hate to say this, but some Christians will not reach the spiritual level that they desire.

Why?

Simply stated, some Christians aren't willing to do the hard work and discipline necessary to become a "Spirit-Filled" follower of Christ.

If you're not willing to carry your own cross then don't expect to grow in faith.

Spiritual growth requires constant appraisal of oneself, are you overcoming those things that overcame you in the past , are able to fast and pray for hours more than before, do you now have self control, can now abstain from some things, are able to worship God for hours nonstop etc.

If you really want to move to a higher level in your spiritual life, know God intimately and discover your life's purpose...now is the time.

Go and start reading, and meditating God's Word.

No more excuses. No more laziness. No more procrastination.

Dr. E. Stanley Jones once said...

"I am inwardly fashioned for faith, not for fear. Fear is not my native land; faith is. I am so made that worry and anxiety are sand in the machinery of life; faith is the oil. I live better by faith and confidence than by fear, doubt and anxiety.

In anxiety and worry, my being is gasping for breath--these are not my native air. But in faith and confidence, I breathe freely--these are my native air.

A John Hopkins University doctor says, 'We do not know why it is that worriers die sooner than the non-worriers, but that is a fact.'

But I, who am simple of mind, think I know; we are inwardly constructed in nerve and tissue, brain cell and soul, for faith and not for fear. God made us that way. To live by worry is to live against reality."

Worry is focusing on your problems and issues in life.

GREAT CITY, BAD FACILITIES…


Challenge: Rise above your circumstances.

2 Kings 2:19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
Despite the affluence, the inhabitants of Jericho knew there were a lot of things wrong with their city. Externally, things looked fine, but the people knew they had problems with getting consistently good results from their labour on their farms. They therefore called on Elisha to bail them out. Thank God he did.

There are many people who look fine on the outside, but internally they are spiritually barren. Many teenagers look great outside, but are morally and academically weak. Some girls are like the coffin, nice looking outside, but their inside is full of dead men’s bones. Is there any way out? Go for spiritual advice from godly people who will counsel you appropriately.

Then confess and repent of your waywardness and do the necessary restitutions and God will pardon and heal your situation. You will thus be productive physically and spiritually and your life will never be the same anymore. Praise the Lord.

Prayer: I am not always the person I should be, make me a success O Lord.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other parcel of land remained barren. After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife.

The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing. Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife would leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island. The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island.

He considered the other man unworthy to receive blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, Why are you leaving your companion on the island? My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them, the first man answered. His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything. You are mistaken! The voice rebuked him.

Had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings. Tell the first man asked the voice, what did he pray for that I should owe him anything? He prayed that all your prayers be answered. For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

Bruce Wilkinson, author of Prayer of Jabez, said:

"Sexual immorality is a threshold sin.

On one side of the threshold is immorality and on the other is purity. On one side are guilt, lying, deceit, addiction, and shame, an on the other side are freedom, honesty, transparency, liberty, and a clear conscience.

Believers who are in bondage to immorality find that unless they experience victory in this area, they cannot grow in holiness or serve the Lord with passion and power..."

Let me ask you this...

Are you struggling on any habitual sin? Alcohol, sex, smoking, pornography, drugs, impure thoughts and the likes?

If you are, I want to tell you this...God still loves you!

He's with you in your battle against sin and He'll stay with you no matter how many times you sin again.

God won't let you go! You're precious to Him.

Truth is, you can't win any battle unless you keep your heart and mind with God's Word.

Regularly reading, memorizing, and meditating God's Word is a sure way to resist all form of temptations.

If you're still not memorizing God's Word, what's stopping you?

What's holding you back?

Never again go in a battle where your chances of winning are slim to none.

Hebrew 4:12 says...

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Did you hear that?

That's how powerful God's Word is.

So make a commitment today to study at least one Bible verse and meditate it throughout the day.

Once you feel the enemy is trying to tempt you, just close . I guarantee you that you'll feel God's power lifting you up.

A story was told about a lighthouse keeper on a rocky stretch of coastline who received a new supply of oil each month to keep the light burning. Being close to the shore he had lots of guest.

A woman from the village needed some oil to keep her family warm; a farmer requested some for his tractor; a mechanic wanted some to lubricate a wheel. The entire request seemed legitimate so the lighthouse keeper tried to please everybody. Before the month was over his oil was gone and the beacon went out.


As a result several ships were wrecked and lives were lost. When the authorities investigated, the man was very repentant. But to his excuses and pleading their reply was, ‘You were given oil for one purpose to keep the light burning, ‘Be wise, prioritize!


In a survey, people over 90 were asked, ‘If you had your life to live over what would you do differently? ‘Three answers constantly re-emerged:(a)I would spend time with my family and friends(b)I would take more risks(c)I would do things that would live on after I am gone.


Wisdom is the art of knowing what to overlook. Petty things steal too much of time and we finish up living for the wrong reasons.


A farmer was asked which was better — raising cattle on open grazing land, in a pasture, or in a enclosed place. His reply was, "Well, on open grazing land they are always subject to attack from wild animals or they could wander off and be lost. In a enclosed place they are safe, but somebody has to take care of them. In a fenced pasture, the cattle have everything they need. They are protected, yet have the freedom to graze."

The Bible defines our pasture. God has placed intelligent boundaries around us to keep us "home" and to keep away those who would prey on us, yet within those boundaries we have freedom to make choices. Deep down, young people want boundaries. We have seen those who had no rules, no curfews, who could make all their own decisions, but who wanted some guidance. A life without boundaries is bound to crash. It is an accident going somewhere to happen.

Little foxes like chewing gum, make up(painting of faces), nagging, staying out late, uncleanliness, pride, etc. can become the termite that will eat away some marriages. As a spouse be diligent to identify what your partner dislikes or what is offensive to him/her.

Oftentimes, this offensive thing eats away at your marriage.

Do you know what's bothering your spouse? Do you know the root of his/her frustration? Do you know what he/she just can't let go of? And most importantly, do you know how to draw it out and how to help them finally heal?

Most people have something that continues to bother them, something that happened years ago that they never let go of, something that they never "moved through" with their spouse. And there it sits; getting heavier and heavier as the years go by. Until finally it comes out as, "I'm not happy" or "I want a divorce" or "I don't love you anymore."

Old wounds that don't get treated aren't really old; they remain fresh. They're still open sores that eat away at your marriage from the inside without you even knowing it. How do you stop the bleeding? How do you finally let bygones be bygones and move on in your relationship in a healthy productive way?

Psalms 12:2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

Steven Killpatrick reminds us how the Cheap Grace mindset can ruin our lives and drive us away from God.

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

What starts out as a simple thought may ultimately determine our destiny, even our eternal destiny.

The writer of the above statement must have heard or read the words of Solomon found in Proverbs 23:7: "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."

Our thoughts reflect the person we really are. If we have thoughts which are hateful, they will manifest themselves as words--actions--habits.

If, however, we fill our hearts with positive things, can anything but good actions result?

Paul summed it up rightly when he wrote in Philippians 4:8, (NIV) "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."

Think about "these things." If we occupy our time on thoughts concerning "these things," it cannot help but result in an eternal destiny with God the Father. We are what we think.

In addition, don't give up on thinking about God's promises to you.

Regularly study and meditate your verse as it builds your faith every time do it.

When you meditate scriptures, keep doing it and never stop. Momentum is power.

So you want to be a "Spirit-Filled" Christian, eh?

Want to be an encouragement to others?

Be the spiritual leader in your family?

You see, most Christians will say "yes" to all questions above.

All Christians have that desires of hearing God's voice and his leading.

All Christians would like to see themselves being an encouragement to others.

All Christians would like to have a deeper relationship with God.

TRUTH: I hate to say this, but some Christians will not reach the spiritual level that they desire.
Why?

Simply stated, some Christians aren't willing to do the hard work and discipline necessary to become a "Spirit-Filled" follower of Christ.

If you're not willing to carry your own cross then don't expect to grow in faith.

Studying and reading of scripture requires discipline and a bit of hard work. There's really no shortcut to it.

If you really want to move to a higher level in your spiritual life, know God intimately and discover your life's purpose...now is the appointed time.

Go and start reading and meditating, God's Word.

No more excuses. No more laziness. No more procrastination.

Dr. E. Stanley Jones once said...

"I am inwardly fashioned for faith, not for fear. Fear is not my native land; faith is. I am so made that worry and anxiety are sand in the machinery of life; faith is the oil. I live better by faith and confidence than by fear, doubt and anxiety.

In anxiety and worry, my being is gasping for breath--these are not my native air. But in faith and confidence, I breathe freely--these are my native air.

A John Hopkins University doctor says, 'We do not know why it is that worriers die sooner than the non-worriers, but that is a fact.'

But I, who am simple of mind, think I know; We are inwardly constructed in nerve and tissue, brain cell and soul, for faith and not for fear. God made us that way. To live by worry is to live against reality."

Worry is focusing on your problems and issues in life.

Meditation is focusing on scriptures through studying.

Imagine a sponge that has been used to wash the dishes. It's all full of dirt and food and old water. It needs to be filled with clean water!

But how can you do that? Easy.

You wring it out, rinse it off, and wring it out again. Only when you have done this can you fill it with clean water.

It's the same with the Spirit. Here we are, all full of sin and grime and filth. There is no room for Him. But once all the filth has been removed, and we have been emptied, the Spirit can come and fill us anew.

Empty yourself to God and allow the Holy Spirit to move in your life.

In your daily schedule with God give yourself to the study and meditation of His word, and see yourself soar in life.

Fact is, only you can choose how intimate your relationship with God is.

And if you think the study and meditation of the scripture is tough, then

Intrigued?

Every day you need to make a choice either you let your circumstances to lead your life or you let God to direct you. It's completely up to you.

But through studying and meditation of God's Word, you're submitting to God and asking Him to direct you. That's how powerful meditating scripture is.

Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Jackie Robinson was the first black person to play major league baseball. Breaking baseball's color barrier, he faced jeering crowds in every stadium.

Players would stamp on his feet and kick him.

While playing one day in his home stadium in Brooklyn, he made an error. The fans began to ridicule him.

He stood at second base, humiliated, while the fans jeered.

Then, shortstop Pee Wee Reese came over and stood next to him. He put his arm around Jackie Robinson and faced the crowd.

The fans grew quiet.

Robinson later said that arm around his shoulder saved his career.

We are sometimes like Jackie Robinson, full of shame. Sometimes, like Jackie, our shame is from nothing we've done.

Sometimes our shame is from our own sin and guilt.

And like Pee Wee Reese, Jesus comes and slips his arm around us, and bears our shame for us.

That's what we remember at communion-- Jesus coming to earth with his strong arm of salvation.

"Israel has been saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated to all eternity."

Bottom line is, regularly remind yourself of what Jesus did for you. His death is your salvation.

Also, regularly study and meditate God's goodness in you and your family.

And If you're still not studying scriptures, today is the perfect day to start this "holy habit."

Brother Andrew, a friend of mine, a former zookeeper, had this to say: Raccoons go through a glandular change at about 24 months.

After that they often attack their owners.

Since a 30-pound raccoon can be equal to a 100-pound dog in a scrap, I felt compelled to mention the change coming to a pet raccoon owned by a young friend of mine, Ruth.

She listened politely as I explained the coming danger. I'll never forget her answer.

"It will be different for me . . ." And she smiled as she added, "Bandit wouldn't hurt me. He just wouldn't."

Three months later Ruth underwent plastic surgery for facial scratch sustained when her adult raccoon attacked her for no apparent reason.

Bandit was released into the wild.

Sin, too, often comes dressed in an adorable guise, and as we play with it, how easy it is to say, "It will be different for me." The results are predictable.

Truth is, there's no such thing as "Sin Proof" Christian. Given the right opportunity and situation we can all fall into temptation and sin.

That's why it's critical for you to regularly confess the word, study and meditate scriptures.

You see, whenever you meditate your scriptures you’re declaring a war against sin. You're keeping yourself alert of devil's schemes and temptations.

In short, you're being a Pro Active Christian than a Reactive Christian. You don't just sit there and defend yourself but also retaliate to the enemy through your study of the scriptures.

Every problem that has embarrassed you, the herm of His garment will dry it up.

The signpost might not be there always so make a move.

My father speaks to me and answers the questions for which I have no answer.

God make a vessel capable of knowing your secrets.

Beloved sister, these questions must be asked and answers provided before any man/ woman can succeed in life; whether in spiritual, physical, economic, marital social life.

There are five fundamental questions a man/woman must ask himself / herself before he/she ventures into any of the category of life mentioned above.

WHY, WHO, WHEN, WHERE AND HOW.

1. WHY do I want to marry this person?

Is it because he God’s ordained person for me? Or because he / she is handsome/ beautiful? Is it because he / she has a pointed nose or that he/she is from a wealthy family? Why do I want to marry him/her? Why?

These are some of the questions we should ask ourselves before we say ‘yes I do’.

2. WHO do I marry or go into business with? What stuff is he/she made of? Does he/she fear God? What is his/ her principle or philosophy of life? Is he/she caring person, loving, humorous, a person of integrity, is he/she a person with vision?, is he/she focused on a dream? Do you see any prospect in him/her? Is he/she hard working? Does he respect my friends, family members, etc.

3. WHEN do I marry or go into any business? Is it God’s appointed time? Am I prepared for it financially and spiritually? Is my Pastor in agreement? etc when?

4. WHERE do I marry or carry out the business? Do I marry in the Church of God? Or outside the Church of God. Do I do it on the high sea or inside the aircraft? Where?

5. HOW do I marry or do the business? Do I go it alone? Remember certain things can fall to the ground without any damage; thing like rubber ball; family and our spirit should not fall at all. How?

Please, go through these and meditate on them. We are praying. God will allow to see shame or be stranded. He has never failed and He will fail you in Jesus name.

Sennacherib represents another Goliath.

Sennacherib represents the power of affliction.

Sennacherib represents poverty and failure.

Sennacherib boasting enemies.

Sennacherib represents power asking you where is your is the result of your prayers.

Sennacherib represents confident attackers.

Sennacherib represents aggression of the enemy.

Sennacherib represents powers that allow you to gather and not eat.

Sennacherib represents power that destroys testimonies.

WHO ARE THESE SENNACHERIB

I. Sennacherib are family strongman

II. Sennacherib are satanic contractors paid to destroy lives.

III. Sennacherib are ancestral powers that follows people everywhere to destroy.

IV. Sennacherib represents satanic agents assigned to limit, tie down, frustrate people’s investments etc.

I destroy the confidence of my enemies in Jesus name.

By the power in the name of Jesus, I frustrate all the powers of Sennacherib barking at my blessing in Jesus name.

GOD IS MY CONTROLLER, WHO IS YOUR CONTROLLER……?

GOD IS MY CONTROLLER, WHO IS YOUR CONTROLLER……?


A young pilot had just passed the point of no return when the weather changed for the worse. Visibility dropped to a matter of feet as fog descended to the earth.

Putting total trust in the cockpit instruments was a new experience to him, for the ink was still wet on the certificate verifying that he was qualified for instrument flying.

The landing worried him the most. His destination was a crowded metropolitan airport he wasn't familiar with.

In a few minutes he would be in radio contact with the tower. Until then, he was alone with his thoughts. His instructor had practically forced him to memorize the rulebook. He didn't care for it at the time, but now he was thankful.

Finally he heard the voice of the air traffic controller. "I'm going to put you on a holding pattern," the controller radioed. Great! thought the pilot.

However, he knew that his safe landing was in the hands of this person. He had to draw upon his previous instructions and training, and trust the voice of an air traffic controller he couldn't see.

Aware that this was no time for pride, he informed the controller, "This is not a seasoned professional up here. I would appreciate any help you could give me."

"You've got it!" he heard back.

For the next 45 minutes, the controller gently guided the pilot through the blinding fog. As course and altitude corrections came periodically, the young pilot realized the controller was guiding him around obstacles and away from potential collisions.
With the words of the rulebook firmly placed in his mind, and with the gentle voice of the controller, he landed safely at last.

The Holy Spirit guides us through the maze of life much like that air traffic controller. The controller assumed that the young pilot understood the instructions of the flight manual. His guidance was based on that.

Such is the case with the Holy Spirit: He can guide us if we have knowledge of God's Word and His will established in our minds.

So don't ignore the power of scripture confessing, meditation etc..

This discipline alone can lead you to greater heights of your faith in God. And there's no better time to begin studying, meditating and memorizing Bible verses but today.

It is important to is the person of the Holy Spirit to be like a traffic controller and lead you to a peaceful life.

But if your mind is not built on verses then it's much easier for the enemy to trick or control you to sin.

The game of life is very competitive. Sometimes, great success and great failures are separated by a very small distance.

Life is very much like competitive sports, very small things that you do, or don’t do, can either give you the edge that leads to victory or take away your edge at the critical moments.

The world system seeks to rob you of a treasure. They advertise their fashion, their philosophies and their new goods before your eyes. They keep changing because everything about the world is unstable, uncertain and unreliable. They cover the weakness, the decay with a fleshy packaging just for you to drop that which is real and lasting. They are all defilement.


When a man starts out early in life with a defiled heart, a defiled conscience, a defiled body and a defiled outlook, he can only end his career in defilement.

What would you purpose in your heart to do today?

Would you purpose to stand apart with God and for Jesus?

Would you walk with the Lord in integrity and allow Him to shape and direct your path?

Daniel dare and to stand alone and that was why he made a difference.

1Corianthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

A man went fishing one morning but after a short time he ran out of worms. Then he saw a snake with a frog in its mouth .Frogs are good bass bait. Knowing the snake couldn't bite him with the frog in his mouth He grabbed him right behind the head, took the frog, and put it in my bait bucket. Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit. So, He grabbed his bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little whiskey in its mouth. His eyes rolled back, he went limp. He released him into the lake without incident and carried on fishing using the frog.

A little later, He felt a nudge on my foot. It was that snake, with two more frogs..

Any sin not dealt with appropriately will develop muscle and destroy the man; so kill the sin before it kills you

On the slope of Longs Peak in Colorado lie the ruins of a huge tree. Naturalists say that it stood for over 400 years. It had weathered thousands of storms and had been hit with lighting 14 times.

At the end, an army of beetles attacked the tree and leveled it to the ground.

This tremendous giant, that age had not withered, that lightning had not blasted, that storms had not subdued fell at last before beetles so small that a man could crush them between his forefinger and thumb.

Many people survive rare storms and lightning blasts somehow but allow the beetles of worry, fear, stress, and tension to destroy their happiness and effectiveness.

It's interesting to note that out of 773,692 words in the Bible, the word worry is not found.

Worry is not in God's vocabulary.

The thing is, when you worry you're actually meditating. But you're meditating the things that disempower you.

What you need to do is to meditate God's word for it empowers you.

Truth be told, studying the scripture and meditation develops a power within each Christian but they seldom use it. No wonder a lot of Christians are struggling in their jobs, relationships, health, and finances.

If you're unhappy with the level of your faith and you can't feel God's presence, it's about time to step up and commit yourself in studying the scriptures.

Worry is a silent killer. It attacks you and disguises itself as "practical thinking." And one successful worry repellant I know is scripture meditation.

That's because it's impossible to worry and meditate God's goodness at the same time. So take the time now to pray. and study God's word.

A pastor friend recently told the true story of one of his church members, an attorney, who after meditating on several scriptures, decided to cancel the debts of all his clients that had owed him money for more than 6 months.

He drafted a letter explaining his decision and its Biblical basis and sent 17 debt canceling letters via certified mail.

One by one, the letters began to return, unsigned and undelivered.

Perhaps a couple had moved away though not likely.

16 of the 17 letters came back to him because the clients refused to sign for and open the envelopes fearing that this attorney was suing them for their debts.

How profound! We owe a debt for our sin and God is willing to cancel it but too many people will not even open the letter that explains that.

GOD IS CRYING FOR A REPLACEMENT

Isaiah 6:8 I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Number 14:26-35 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me, Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.


From Isaiah’s experience in the above passage, we discovered that a man can be preaching up and down as Isaiah was doing, yet, God will never cease to ask “whom shall I send and who will go for us
Isaiah never saw or knew that his very position had been advertised. But something happened that made him to start thinking, and that experience brought Isaiah to a standstill where he met and knew God better. Isaiah suddenly discovered that God was looking for someone else apart from him.

What was basically wrong with a man like Isaiah that God had to look for someone else despite the fact that he was there in full ministry?

When Moses died it was normal for God also to advertise his position and when it was time for Elijah to go, God also advertised to the sons of the prophets if there was any one of them who was willing to come in.

But I cannot understand how a man is actively ministering, and having what we call a fiery message yet heaven is still asking “ whom shall we send, and who shall go for us?”

If anybody over-heard that cry of God, the person would wonder what the reason was, seeing that someone like Isaiah was already there. But heaven seemed to be saying Isaiah was there as if there was nobody. Whatever he seemed to be doing, from heaven’s point of view, was “undone”.

God is crying for a replacement- a servant that will satisfy His heart. Ours may not be like Isaiah’s . The cry of my own heart is why should I be there and heaven will say there is nobody yet?

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.”What food might this contain?” the mouse wondered. He was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: “There is a mousetrap in the house! “

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said “Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse turned to the pig and told him “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!” the pig sympathized, but said “I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.”

The mouse turned to the cow and said “There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house! The cow sais “ Wow, Mr. Mouse, I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin off my nose.”

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house –like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer’s wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neigbours came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer’s wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral; the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from the crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next tome you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember: when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another. Each of us is a vital thread in another person’s tapestry.

There was a story back in the 1800s about a group of explorers who got lost in the middle of a desert.

After using up their water supply, then began to dig under the sand in hopes of finding water.


But unfortunately none of them were able to find any, and none survived the ordeal.

Several years later, it was found out that there was indeed water just a few feet below the spot where they were digging. If they hadn't given up, they would've been able to drink fresh water to their heart's content.

The same can be said about doing good, particularly in relation to today's Scripture.


Whenever you are struggling with life, or having a bad break at your career, or having a difficult time with a relationship, you are simply experiencing a dry spell.

Don't quit. Dig. Rake in the soil and dig like there's no tomorrow because you never know when the Lord shall shower you with His favor and blessings, whose arrival into your life is only a matter of time.


Keep digging until you tap in to the well of the Lord's goodness!

Ladies (some men) do forget that no matter how well we tend their flesh, and no matter how expensive the cream, powder or ornaments they buy for their bodies, termites will end up eating the flesh when they die and are buried.

It is a tragedy that man / woman forget in a hurry when God blesses them financial to channel the money to the furtherance of the kingdom of God.

Human beings worship the shrine called flesh more than their creator.

A lady buys her makeup kits for N2500.00 and above while the same amount cannot be invested in Bible to improve their spiritual lives.

Again, the attention given to the flesh is te morning, noon and evening time is invested in meditating, reading the Bible, praying, the error in the society would be reduced.

We are in the era of fake fingers, hair, nails, face, lips breast, eye lids etc.

Most women are deceitful; you no longer see women with gray hair as the evidence of old again because of the fake hair they wear.

In the beginning, God made everything original and good. Original African ladies in their bid to belong and look good have turned themselves into monsters with their money.

Our ladies end up scaring away prospective men.

This same group of ladies end up in Churches later for deliverance for husband Some of this ladies just smell bad.

I kings 11:9 -11 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Look into your life; what could stand or is standing as Solomon’s wives?

Whatever makes you withdraw your worship and praises to the living God and bestow same onto any god is refers to as Solomon’s wives.

What takes you to other gods or make you neglect your worship of God is evil.

Anything that turns away your heart after other gods: and makes your heart not to be perfect with the LORD your God, as was the heart of David is Solomon wives..

Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

Then did Solomon build a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

And had commanded him concerning this thing that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

There are so many Solomons now, they started very well with God, and later were turned away by one thing or the other.

As we run the race, Heavenly race, we should be very cautious and vigilant, for these ‘Solomoms’ wives are very aggressive and merciless; in trying to bring increase to Satan and depopulate God’s kingdom, we should be reawaken in the spirit to fight the fight of faith and bring profit onto our God.

PHILIPPIANS 2:2 Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

As moms, we get to deal with such exciting things as spit up, poopy pull-ups, and frogs and lizards escaping in the house. So how do you balance all of that with the desire to be an attractive, romantic, interesting wife?

One key is to remember that your children are third on your list of priorities. They cannot be more important to you than their father and certainly not more important than your heavenly Father.

A wise woman said to me years ago, "Honey, one child will take all your time, two children will take all your time and so will three. It doesn't matter how many children you have; they will take all your time." And she's right . . . if you let them. It's up to you whether or not you save at least some of your energy, time and attention for your husband.

When you pay attention to your husband, children begin to see that their needs and desires don't have to be met immediately. They learn patience when they have to wait for you to finish your tasks, your conversation . . . or your kiss!

A healthy marriage creates security in their hearts and minds. Plus they can learn responsibility and greater independence when you and your husband leave them (well supervised, of course) to go on a date or a weekend away. They need an occasional break from you, just like you do from them!

Yes, children are often little interruptions, but keeping your husband a higher priority is the first step in balancing the roles of wife and mother.



Perhaps this sounds very freeing for you. Or perhaps it sounds selfish and unkind. Please, talk to me about how you feel about putting limits on the time you spend with your children so that you can spend time with each other.

Mathew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.



God brought Noah into the flood and He also brought him out of it. Similarly, He has not brought you to this point in your life to abandon you. Whatever the problems you face at the moment- God will bring you through.



1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.



Satan has a well worked out strategy with which he tempts humanity. He appeals (1) to the lust of the flesh, (2) to the lust of the eyes and (3) to the pride of life. Are you able to discern this strategy at work in your life? And are you over-coming it?

Pencil and Eraser

Pencil: I'm sorry

Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Pencil: I'm sorry because you get hurt because of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.

Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad.

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way, they get hurt, and become smaller / older, and eventually pass on. Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad. All my life, I've been the pencil. And it pains me to see the eraser that is my parents getting smaller and smaller each day. For I know that one day, all that I'm left with would be eraser shavings and memories of what I used to have.

Do you know what's bothering your spouse? Do you know the root of their frustration? Do you know what they just can't let go of? And most importantly, do you know how to draw it out and how to help them finally heal?

This is one of the many issues, I'll want you to evaluate, and invite God into te matter.

Most people have something that continues to bother them, something that happened years ago that they never let go of, something that they never "moved through" with their spouse.

And there it sits; getting heavier and heavier as the years go by. Until finally it comes out as, "I'm not happy" or "I want a divorce" or "I don't love you anymore."

This little foxes spoil the great vineyard / garden that the Lord gave us to tend.

Any marriage going trough difficult challenges or at the verge of collapse, O Lord be involved in the affairs of the couples in Jesus name.

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

2 Samuel 7:19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?

Psalms 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

Proverbs 10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

A little boy wanted $100 very badly. He prayed for weeks, but nothing happened. So, he decided to write a letter to God requesting $100.

When the postal authorities received the letter to "God, USA", they decided to send it to the President.

The President was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5 bill. The President thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.

The little boy was delighted with the $5 bill, and sat down to write a thank-you note to God. The postal authorities forwarded this letter on to the President, too.

It read:

"Dear God, Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through Washington, D.C., and those guys deducted $95 in taxes!"

It's a funny story but what we can learn from this is...

...sometimes when God answers your prayer it will not be exactly as you wanted it to be.

But you just have to trust. Trust that God's answer to your prayer is the best for you.

Yes, sometimes it seems that God doesn't make sense but remember in Isaiah 55:8-9 it says...His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. His ways are higher than our ways.

That's why it's important to keep His Word to your heart and mind through scripture meditation.

You become a stronger Christian. You start to trust God more and more each day.

Roger Staubach who led the Dallas Cowboys to the World Championship in '71 admitted that his position as a quarterback who didn't call his own signals was a source of trial for him.

Coach Landry sent in every play. He told Roger when to pass, when to run and only in emergency situations could he change the play (and he had better be right!).

Even though Roger considered coach Landry to have a "genius mind"when it came to football strategy, pride said that he should be able to run his own team.

Roger later said, "I faced up to the issue of obedience. Once I learned to obey there was harmony, fulfillment, and victory."

The point of the story is simple.

And that is in our relationship with God, it requires full submission and obedience.

If God is convicting you to do something or to get rid of sins or habits...just do it.

Like in our story, once you learned to obey, that's the only time you'll experience harmony, fulfillment, and victory in your life.

Now, if God is convicting you to meditate His Words, start with just one verse and grow from there.

Studying and meditating the scripture is a habit that will strengthen you spiritually and gives you the power to resist temptation of the devil.

So take the time now and... don’t allow time to run out on you.

DEALING WITH LIFE’S RECESSION


A person cannot live long with recession. Dealing with misery takes two forms, prevention and long term cure. Prevention is the strategy of dealing with conditions that lead to recession. Which can include simple things like enough rest or talking out discouragement with a trusted friend.

Prevention involves finding a foundation that gives hope; especially in the mist of circumstances that are recession. producing. God can provide that foundation. His love can hold you in the midst of any storm. His wisdom can guide you through it and his strength can steady you as you move forward. Recession. need not overtake you. Why not open the door of your recession. and invite God into it. Ask him to walk with you. Don’t try to live independently from him. He invites you to share the journey with him. Why not choose God as your foundation today?

My Father God, my recession. is overwhelming. I don’t know what to do. I need your strength to anchor me and your wisdom to guide me. I need you to give me a firm footing as I work through this. I invite you into my life right now. Forgive me for living independent from you. I need you. Come into my life and bring me hope today. Amen.

A man in Kansas City was severely injured in an explosion.

Evangelist Robert L. Sumner tells about him in his book The Wonders of the Word of God.

The victim's face was badly disfigured, and he lost his eyesight as well as both hands.

He was just a new Christian, and one of his greatest disappointments was that he could no longer read the Bible.

Then he heard about a lady in England who read Braille with her lips. Hoping to do the same, he sent for some books of the Bible in Braille.

Much to his dismay, however, he discovered that the nerve endings in his lips had been destroyed by the explosion.
One day, as he brought one of the Braille pages to his lips, his tongue happened to touch a few of the raised characters and he could feel them.

Like a flash he thought, I can read the Bible using my tongue. At the time Robert Sumner wrote his book, the man had "read" through the entire Bible four times.

How many of you can say you've read through the Bible four times--with two good eyes? This man had a craving--and even losing his eyesight wouldn't prevent him from reading God's Word.

So don't let laziness or procrastination prevent you from reading and meditating God's Word.

Be a "no-excuse" Christian and start studying scriptures starting from today.

One day, as he brought one of the Braille pages to his lips, his tongue happened to touch a few of the raised characters and he could feel them.

Like a flash he thought, I can read the Bible using my tongue. At the time Robert Sumner wrote his book, the man had "read" through the entire Bible four times.

How many of you can say you've read through the Bible four times--with two good eyes? This man had a craving--and even losing his eyesight wouldn't prevent him from reading God's Word.

So don't let laziness or procrastination prevent you from reading and meditating God's Word.

Be a "no-excuse" Christian and start studying scriptures starting from today.

ARE YOU READY FOR A MIRACLE?


Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

What a sad comment it is on human nature, that although the Church prayed for Peter’s miraculous deliverance, they seemed unable to believe it when God brought it about in fact.


Peter appeared to have more trouble getting into the prayer meeting than he did in getting out of prison! How ready are you for a miracle?

Faith never quibbles at God demands, even though those demands are sometimes go against reason. But what is faith? No greater definition of faith has ever been given than that contained in the simple acrostic:

Forsaking All I Trust Him.

My God, whosoever puts his trust upon you will never be stranded, let me never be stranded in the race of life in Jesus name.

How do God’s true servants react in times of emergency or great crises? They react as did Abraham by turning to God in fervent believing prayer. Life’s best outlook is a prayerful uplook!

O marvelous God, because your eyes are upon the righteous, and your ears are open unto their cry, do not be silent to my cry in Jesus name.

Exodus 40:15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

When God wants to turn situation from despair to delight, all He has to do is breathe into it.

The aspirate (the letter (“h”) is inserted Abram’s and Sarai’s names, thus indicating that the breath of God was at work. He does the same with the word “impossible” .He breathes into it and it becomes “Him- possible”.

O Lord, have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. Let me and my seed enjoy the covenant of an everlasting blessings, good health and long life in Jesus name.
