MAKING SENS OUT OF GOD

There was a king who reigned for 95 years but had no child; though he had many slaves in his palace. He was always invited to occasions but never attended any due to the tradition of his town; that no king should attend any occasion without being escorted by his son.

During this period in review, one of his very close friends invited him and earnestly begged that his presence will be highly appreciated.

After this entreaty from a very treasured friend, since the occasion is scheduled to take place in another town, the king decided to train the most the senior slave who has been with him for up to25 year.

During the training sessions, the senior slave showed positive mannerism; which gave the king the required confidence to decide to take him along as is sons.

The day of occasion finally came, the senior slave was well dressed as a prince; the training was well rehearsed, to cover every area of displeasure in the occasion that will bring shame to the king, his province and his reign.

Eventually, they got to the occasion, well ushered to the ‘high table’ the senior slave now the ‘Prince’ was well received, seated beside the king as one of the representatives of the King.

After all the events, the senior slave behaved well, but when the food was served to them, the senior slave manifested is real behavior and stated eating very fast and in a disorderly manner that brought disappointment to the king.

The king tried to restrain himself from shouting at or beating him when the slave left his seat on the high table to meet the other invitees and begin to eat the leftover of their food.

At the king’s command he was taken away from the place, before more damages harm could be done.

king who was very disappointed took the senior slave home, punished him and after showing remorse; he was restored to his position, to go and sin no more.

We were like the senior slave, before God showed us compassion, cleanse us and brought us back to His kingdom.

Why won’t we love God (the king) with all our heart and obey his commandment and live. He first loved us when we were yet sinners.

One question Christian frequently ask is this: How can we make sense out of the apparently meaningless events of life, there is only one way.

You must endeavor to see life from God’s point of view.

You can’t make sense out of life but you can make sense out of God.

O God, teach me to do your will,
For you are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of righteousness in Jesus name.
