TE LESSON OF LIFE

THE LESSON OF LIFE. Romans 8:22 “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now”.

2Peter 3:4 “And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation”.

Some fishermen decided to export cod fish; they congealed the fish and kept them refrigerated till they got to their destination. To their disappointment, the fish had lost its savour by the time it got there.

The next time, they conserved it in sea – water, thinking that the salt content of the water would preserve it but on arrival, the fish had gone soft and had lost its savour and was uninviting.

The put heads together to find how they can export this highly – nutritious fish. An old fisherman came to them and advised that they should put the fish’s worst enemy in the tank with it.

It’s worst enemy in the cat - fish. The young fishermen found the old man funny. They laughed and wondered how his suggestion would work. However, they decided to give it try.

They got a bid tank, put the fish in it and put a cat – fish along in the water. To their utter amazement, the fish got to their destination safely and alive. They retained their savour and the men were happy.

Why did the fish got there safely? It was because it’s enemy, the cat – fish, was in the tank with them, chasing them all over the place. They were restless and alert, so they were alive to escape from adversity. That was how they arrived safely and retained their savour.

Many people would not bother to go Church, if not for the enemy. Many would not have bothered about churches, if not for life challenges, many would not go to church meetings, if not for the storms confronting them.

“But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children”.

The storm of life will not capsize our life boat in Jesus name.
